NOTE: All brooms are made to order. Brooms must be ordered no later than November 20 for delivery before Christmas. Brooms ordered before that date will be shipped in time for Christmas delivery, but we cannot guarantee delivery... that is up to the USPS. We highly recommend USPS Priority Mail. This is an updated classic style of broom that predates the flat broom which wasn't introduced until around 1865. Although perfectly functional as a sweeper for smaller areas, it's also popular for decoration and ceremonies. Each broom is approximately 57" long, and 4" in diameter. The circumference as it touches the floor is about 16". It weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. We make every broom by hand using only the best available broomcorn (which is hand-dyed by us), and hand-split broomcorn stalk or rattan reed splits. It is bound first with wire, then with stout twine, and finished off with a pair of matching rows of hand-stitching to help it keep its shape. We call it a lodge broom because its bigger than a cabin broom, and smaller than our traditional besom.
This style of cobwebber brooms range in length from 36-48 inches. Each broom features a woven cap made of broomcorn stems- for nice refined finished look. A long lightweight broom to reach tall ceilings, cobwebs and stairwells. Good for dustbunnies under the bed. makes great functional gift that looks good too.
