As a doctor of agricultural science, he gives lectures at international symposia and writes technical publications. He also became known through his participation as an expert in the BR programme Querbeet. His BLV book Die Welt in voller Blüte (The World in Full Bloom) received the DGG's Honorary Award in 2022.
