Learning how to know yourself is the foundation for building a life as unique as you are.
Immerse yourself in the serene simplicity of the harbour life with our inspired print. This piece hones the essence of minimalism, depicting Mallaig Harbour through a harmonious blend of muted tones and geometric precision. The composition is a masterclass in understatement, featuring an array of beautifully understated edifices in a delicate palette of pastel hues that evoke tranquillity and a sense of timelessness. Each building is rendered with just enough detail to convey its form, while the sparing use of line and shadow captures the unique architectural characteristics without fuss or extravagance. The sea, mirroring the sky in a glass-like finish, bestows upon the scene a polished calmness, interrupted only by the elegant promise of adventure as illustrated by the poised boats. Reflections dance softly on the water's surface, adding depth and a subtle dynamism to the overall tableau. This print invites contemplation and a blissful quietude, with its minimalist approach creating a sense of space that allows the viewer's imagination to wander. It's a perfect addition to any setting that seeks to evoke peace and offers a modernistic tribute to the natural beauty and quaint charm of this coastal spectacle. The 'Modern & Minimal' collection, where this piece resides, promises to bring a contemporary aesthetic to the walls it graces while maintaining an air of effortless sophistication.
Duck has an unfair reputation for being fussy, but not this recipe. We bathe it in a spiced (nutmeg, allspice) and spicy (habanero) marinade, stick it in the oven, ignore it for five hours, and serve it with fixings for build-it-yourself tacos.

One aspect of DnD which seems to strike the most fear into the hearts of would-be DMs is the difficulty of giving your NPCs fun and distinctive voices. We watch professional DMs switching effortlessly between different accents, and fear that for our NPCs to be loveable and memorable that each needs a unique voice. First of all, this is simply not true. I've played in amazing campaigns with DMs that have never switched from their own voice, and absolutely loved every minute of them. If you're not

Alright everyone, this is part two of my bathroom countertop adventure. (If you haven't read the first part you can do that HERE.) When I left y'all we had successfully made a counter out of maple wood flooring, which happens to be particularly hard to stain. Here was my first attempt... It looked terrible and Adam vetoed it right away. And that's saying something because he never vetoes things, he usually just lets me gush about weird new ideas that my brain comes up with and then tries his best to make them happen. So we sanded off the terrible stain job (twice, cause I tried to stain it again) and then we just sealed the natural maple with tung oil. But, I hated it. So here I am, still trying to make a maple countertop dark and NOT have it look like poo. I spent some time googing for answers and come across a lot of different ways to successfully stain maple. But most of these ways used tools I don't have (sprayers) and supplies I didn't want to buy (dyes), so I decided to just branch out on my own and experiment. I had heard of pre-stain before but had never used it. We talked about using it when we built our farmhouse table but got lazy and just....didn't. So I figured I'd try my luck with it on this project... after all, I certainly couldn't make it any worse.
(via)We only wear a small fraction of our wardrobe on average. We only read a fragment of our books more than once. There's nothing wrong with building a collection, but when you are just out to accumulate stuff, you might find yourself weighted down. Lightening your life can make it much more fun. I love the notion of collecting moments. It's time very well spent...! xoxo Dana
