The summer has come and gone, and transitioned into the colourful autumn. The melancholicm raining season has started and the leaves have turned to yellows, reds and browns. It’s a wonderfullym diverse and colourful season and October is the peak of it. It is one of my favourite months of the fall and also a fun one to create different weekly spreads, that can inspire me each day. So, I decided top share some of the ones I like most. 1. Cozy Drinks Photo credit: Bujoforstars October is the time to cozy up, and what could be better than a nice hot beverage, that just wraps you up in its heat and an the pleasant aroma. One of the spreads I really like is the one that makes you get the Hygge feeling. 2. Hello again! It's Nabaa from @whimsical.doodles! For this post, let me just start by saying I hope you're all safe and healthy! It's a crazy time out there and so I've turned to the one thing that helps me stay calm - my bullet journal! If like me, you find yourself stuck at home while the world deals with the ongoing pandemic, now is the perfect time to focus your energy into your journal and other hobbies that you enjoy. I'm taking this time to try and plan for the upcoming few weeks. So today's post is going to be all about Weeklies! Specifically how to decorate the space around your weekly layouts! There are quite a few ways to add some background decoration to your weekly spreads. Check out some of the following spreads for inspiration! 1. Solid Background A super-easy way to add a little background decor is painting the entire background in a single solid color. You can then add small doodles or designs if you like! In the example below, I added in little gold stars: Created by @whimsical.doodles Here's a similar concept with a different weekly style: Created by @plslars 2. Decorative Header Using a decorative header is a great way to add elements of your overall theme to your weekly layout. There are several ways of doing this such as using a divider! Here, I've used a strip of washi tape to separate my header. Created by @whimsical.doodles Created by @whimsical.doodles 3. Decorated Border This is a particularly practical way to add some color to your weekly. Depending on how much space you need, you can add thin or thick borders to your pages! Created by @whimsical.doodles 4. Patterned Background One of my favorite ways to decorate my weeklies has been the patterned method. You section out your weekly layout in pencil and then draw on your pattern - avoiding the sectioned spaces. Here are a few examples of this: Created by @whimsical.doodles Created by @_differenz If you have any other ideas for a weekly background, please let me know in the comments! I love working with new layouts and I'm always open to new ideas and inspiration! I hope this has helped you figure out your next weekly. I'm going to be spending the rest of this time at home working on more ideas for you guys! IF there's anything in particular you'd like to see on here, let me know! - Nabaa
It’s really hard to get a bullet journal to last exactly one year. Most of the time you’ll run out of pages until you get to the end of the year. The good news is, it’s not the end of the world when this happens. You just start a new one! So I’m starting a new bullet journal for October. What Journal to Use? I got another Archer & Olive because I can’t imagine using anything else. Check out my full review on their notebooks. Of course, if you weren’t 100% happy with the journal you used, now is the perfect time to try something new! Some other popular brands are: Scribbles That Matter, Leuchtturm1917, Rhodia, and Dingbats. What spreads to include? When I set up a mid-year journal, I don’t transfer ALL of my […]
