Der Name leitet sich aus den Anfangsbuchstaben von Canzler und Hoffmann, den beiden Firmengründern, her, die die Biegepuppen ab Ende der 1920er herstellten. Nach dem Krieg baute sich einer der Partner im Westen Deutschlands, in Coburg, eine neue Firma auf und nannte sie Caco (Fritz Canzler Coburg). Dort werden die Biegepuppen noch heute hergestellt. The name derives from Canzler and Hoffmann, the two founders of the firm who produced posable dolls since the end of the 1920s. After WWII one of the partners - Fritz Canzler - started with a new company in the West German town of Coburg, hence the new name CaCo after 1945. They still produce posable dolls today. In der Preisliste von 1953/54 werden Puppenstubenpüppchen aus Steinit, Stoffpuppen, weichgestopfte Babies, Kleinpuppen mit Schlafaugen, Werfpuppen, Puppenstubenblumen, Christbäume, Puppenstuben-Artikel und vieles mehr zum Verkauf angeboten. Außerdem werden ungefähr 80 Biegepuppen-Modelle aufgelistet: Mütter, Väter, Mädchen, Jungen, mit und ohne Frisur, die Kinder in unterschiedlichen Größen, Stubenmädchen, Lehrerin, Köchin, Oma, Opa, Weihnachtsmann, Gärtnerin, Negermädchen und Negerboy, Page, FDJ-Junge, Chauffeur, Traktorist, Feuerwehrmann usw.
