Here is a fun list of 25 things I can't live without (and I've tried!). Some are silly, the rest are mandatory items in my life.
I am from the U.S. and am currently a teacher in South Korea. I've lived here for many years and have taught thousands of South Korean students to read, write, and speak in English. I have spent months preparing lessons to help my students accomplish their goals to communicate in English. One of the most successful in helping my students reach their goals has been using a U.S. Elementary school textbook series named Treasures. I have take this book series and translated the key words from each story from English into Korea. As this as a base for the each lesson, I have been able to take the Treasures books guide my students through the beginner to advanced steps of learning English. Word Banks - The download that I have listed has the English and Korean (Hangul) words translated for each story in the Treasures series Grade 1 Book 4. There are five stories and about 450 words translated from English to Korean. Daily Tests - There are 58 Daily Tests in English and Korean to help students memorize the words. Post Tests - There are 5 Post Tests that allow students to take a test after completing the Daily Tests for each story. Crossword Puzzles - There are 10 Crossword Puzzles in English that students can use to apply the vocabulary words he or she learned from the Word Banks. A student can take these word banks (English and Korean) translations and build up his or her vocabulary from basic nouns, verbs, and adjectives to very advanced vocabulary by the end of the Treasures book series. These lessons would be perfect for anyone wanting to learn Korean (hangul) or English if that person speaks Korean. They could also be used in a homeschooling or tutoring instructional method. There are 93 pages total with this set of study materials. The ISBN for the Treasures 1.4 book is: 0-02-192004-4
