With her father's death, Georgiana Hartley found herself at the mercy of her lecherous cousin. Yet seeking refuge at the neighbouring estate, she came across a danger of another sort altogether as she stared into the amused blue eyes of Dominic Ridgeley, Viscount Alton of Candlewick Hall. Charmed by Georgiana's youthful innocence, Dominic was only too happy to come to her aid. But the simple infatuation had become something infinitely more complicated, and the two of them could no longer deny their passion or their highly improper affections.

About Handel, Who Knew What He Liked: Candlewick Biographies The award-winning work is reissued as a Candlewick Picture Book Biography. George Frideric Handel always knew what he liked. And he was never afraid to do what he liked — whether smuggling a clavichord into the attic, sneaking off at a duke’s castle to play the organ, ordering forty-five pounds of snow to chill his wine, or writing operas that no one wanted to hear. Even in his darkest hour, when it seemed everyone and everything were against him, Handel stayed true to himself. And because he did, he has become one of the best-loved composers in the world. In this absorbing biography, M. T. Anderson’s narrative and Kevin Hawkes’s stunning art illuminate the life and legacy of a musical visionary. Back matter includes a time line, discography, author’s note, sources, and an index.

A smooth yet bracing fragrance blend of magnolia leaf, white birch, and winter moss. Top: Iced Eucalyptus, Violet Leaf, Clary Sage Mid: Magnolia Leaf, Cypress, Winter Moss Base: Douglas Fir, Canadian Balsam, White Birch WoodWick® candles can display different burning characteristics than other candles, so here's a few simple steps to enjoy the best burn every time:1. You will experience the best burn results when the candle remains lit for 3-4 hours. Make sure that the wax melts to the edge of the candle before extinguishing it - this may take between 30 to 60 minutes. Allowing the wax to pool will discourage 'tunnelling' or leaving wax on the sides of the vessel.2. The flame height may vary at times and occasionally even appear to self extinguish, but this is normal. Even if you are experiencing a 'low' flame, it will continue to heat and the flame height should return.3. Keep the candle within sight and away from drafts. Always place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface, and make sure to keep the candles away from children, pets, flammable materials and other heat sources.3. Never move or handle the candle while it's burning or while the wax is hot. To be safe, only move your candle once the flame is extinguished and the wax has completely cooled. When there is approximately 1cm of wax remaining, it is time to stop using your candle. Extinguish the candle when 1cm or wax remains and recycle it according to your local recycling centre's guidance. Alternatively, why not give your empty candle a new lease of life and upcycle your empty candle in to something for your home?
