Ahoj :) Na dzisiejsze spotkanie z Wami przygotowałam mini LO w postaci kartki. Chciałam aby praca była bardzo bogata, aby działo się na niej wiele przywołując na myśl wzburzone morze. Nie myślałam długo nad kolekcją, gdyż Naval Treat UHK to wprost wymarzona kolekcja do "morskich" zadań. Z pomocą wygodnych nożyczek powycinałam różne morskie motywy z papierów scrapbookingowych, następnie je postarzyłam wykorzystując postarzacz do papieru oraz tusze w odcieniach brązu. Dodałam również gazę imitując tym samy sieci rybackie oraz sznurek tworząc "ala" węzły marynarskie :) Praca ta powstała na specjalne zamówienie urodzinowe dla Pana Żeglarza! Do you like adventure? You do? Good! So how about take part in an adventure to reclaim stolen territory—God’s territory? There is so much need in our world. Will you be one of the few that is willing to help souls that desperately need to know and experience the love of Jesus? Now, just in case you don’t feel qualified, here’s the thing. You are! God made you with just the right traits—your knowledge, your gifts and talents, your temperament, your life experiences—all of which will help you as you witness, serve, and live out God’s calling for your life. Why, you’re His beloved child and friend! He’s full of plans and purpose for you (and don’t let anyone or anything convince you otherwise!). I bet you already know where to begin… Yep, you got it, in prayer and in His Word. Take care to make your relationship with Him your first priority Seek His guidance with an obedient and teachable heart Expectantly, stay on the lookout for opportunities that He puts before you Realize that each obstacle and each challenge is an opportunity to grow spiritually stronger Your adventure may or may not take you to far away lands; it may or may not have you doing out of the ordinary things. Thus far, my adventure has been pretty ordinary in the world’s eyes, but not to the Lord, nor to me. An example that comes to mind is having the privilege to teach my children to read, and now I get to see them as a teen and young adults choose to read and study God’s Word. Many of you moms know what a thrilling adventure that is! You see, there’s no such of a thing as an unimportant assignment to God. Look at Tychicus. His job was to carry Paul’s letters from prison to the churches. Imagine how insignificant that may have seemed to a casual observer. Reckon Tyhchicus realized how significant his tasks were going to be? So just think, my friend, what you do with your days will literally have eternal significance! Isn’t that an awesome thought. . . . and responsibility! Will you say “yes, Lord,” and set sail today on your lifetime adventure? Happy Friday! Today at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration we're sharing a few of our favorite Stampin' Up! products. I am a hardcore fan of {Hardwood}. I use it on so many cards. It is so versatile, the possibilities are endless. I also am in love with {The Open Sea} and the new {Hello Sailor} stamp sets. I really really enjoy making nautical cards and these sets are just SO much fun to play around with. Another couple favorites are Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay... oh I better add Baked Brown Sugar to that too. I decided to incorporate ALL of these into one card. I am a HUGE fan of metal work and the Verdigris patina that sometimes goes along with it. My husband and I visited St. Augustine, Florida a few years ago and went to the Old City. Talk about AMAZING pieces of history! One of the things that really struck me was the patina on the old canons at Castillo de San Marcos. That is what sparked the idea for this card. I wanted to create a "rust" effect on the port hole. I started with Whisper White cardstock and sponged on Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay. I then used the Gorgeous Grunge stamps and added Baked Brown Sugar and Cajun Craze. I think it really worked out well! Vintage Post Card British and French Sailors Entente Cordial 1908 This original vintage post card is absolutely immaculate. It is 111 years old. it was collected in 1908 and placed in an album by my Grandpa. This card would have been produced for the Franco British Exhibition. It is beautifully printed depicting two sailors and obviously advertising for the Entente Cordiale. This card is signed by the artist. I think it is J.A Stewart as this artist was known for military art. Publisher:Valentines Artotype Series This card is in in pristine immaculate condition as it was collected in 1908 for a collectors album and remained virtually untouched for over 100 years. It is postally unused. Corners are sharp. No stains. No tears. No creases and no pinholes. Absolutely fabulous.
