I'm just so easily distracted! Once again, I was persuaded - by myself - to leave off my list of jobs and play around with new stuff instead! Again, the new stuff was the Latte Love bundle and the distraction was the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. The Latte Love bundle and the A Little Latte DSP will be available from Online Exclusives from 4 March. What I particularly like about the DSP is that there are both subtle, small scale patterns as well as colourful, in-your-face papers as well. So there's something for everyone but no prize for guessing that my favourite is small and subtle. 😀 I coloured one of the mugs with Stampin' Blends in Pool Party and Lost Lagoon. The other was stamped in Early Espresso on the same coloured card. I really like the little stamps that give you the coffee in the cup. Very sweet! Those that know me know that I love my coffee, so the sentiment is a real compliment! If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the Contact Me tab at the top of the page. Earn a Free Gift Purchase either the Gorgeous Garden dies or the Hooray for Surprises bundle from me and you'll receive FOUR PDF Join in with Joanne and Jan tutorials matching the purchase: two by me and two by UK Demonstrator Joanne James aka The Crafty Owl.

Hi everyone! Today I am playing around with the Stylish Sketches stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog! Sale-a-Bration runs July and August and there are many items to choose from, FREE when you spend $50 or some when you spend $100. The Stylish Sketches stamp set is one of the free with a $50 purchase items. I love the sketchy look to the images on this set. I love to draw and these stamps made me think of an art journal. I thought I would go with that feel by adding the fringed edges to look, as if they were torn from the pages of my journal. The Die I used to achieve this is from the Happiness Abounds bundle. In keeping with my Art Journal feel, I used my Watercolor Pencils to color the images. Check out my How to Video here: The fox is my favorite as we have one that roams through our yard a couple times a week. I paired the cards with the Rings of Love Designer Series Paper. This paper is also FREE with a $50 purchase. Here's a picture of our neighborhood fox going down the driveway. I think these would make a nice note card set. Shop with me! I would love to be your demonstrator. I always send a hand stamped thank you card and sometimes more with a larger order, and I share my Stampin' Rewards with you through my Frequent Buyer Rewards! Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn. I'm part of a fantastic group of like minded crafters sharing inspiration in our monthly blog hop! This Month, we are sharing and featuring Watercolouring! Watercolouring is one of my favourite techniques - I can feel a bit artistic and not really need any skill!! The stamped images help do all the work for me! (And I do love the 'artistic look' of slightly messy watercolouring - no precision required!!) I'm featuring a NEW bundle/suite coming in our New Catalogue starting in May (perks of being a demonstrator is that I can get these things early!) called Country Woods. The background paper is the Country Woods DSP (and it has a look of watercolouring!!) and the stamp set is the Country Flowers stamp set. I've used watercolour paper and Saddle Brown stazon ink to stamp my images. I then added ink using a water painter. To add the ink, I smooshed my ink pad onto a stamping block, and then used my water painter to pick up the colour, water it down for changes in tone and shade, and then painted the image from the left to the right leaving some bits on the right side unpainted for light reflection. Inside the card is some more painted leaves and flowers just for fun!! Make sure you keep hopping to see LOTS of amazing projects!! I'm sure you'll love them all. Blog Hop Index Watercoloured Country Flowers Please head over to my online store if you wish to see these products in more detail - and you can place your order anytime (if you're in Australia) while you're there (even if you're in your pyjamas!!) And, if you can see yourself creating cards and sharing your love of papercrafts while inspiring others, perhaps you might be interested in joining my Stampin' Up! family - contact me to find out how.

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started. Obviously, I’m still in Santa Suit Die-namics mode, LOL! And I have another idea I want to try to get done with it if I get the time. For this card, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a layer of Wild Cherry card stock, popped up on foam mounting tape. I cut the belt from black mirror card stock and gold foil card stock, and assembled and adhered it. The sentiment is from BB Santa’s Elves, stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. To finish off, I added some Pretty Pink Post sequins. And there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon! You're the Best, really! I have been playing with the Friendly Wishes stamp set with the very fun EveryDay Chic DSP. After I made a few cards on my own, I decided to find a sketch challenge to follow. I found this great sketch challenge at Just Add Ink. Here's their challenge: This sketch has so many possiblilities. The design team has made some fabulous creations. Be sure to check them out. But before you head over there, here's what I made: The Everyday Chic DSP is so much fun because you can color the paper any color or way YOU want to! I chose to color randomly using my retired Daffodil and Bermuda Bay Blendabilities. You could also use markers, sponge daubers, a brayer, or Copics. The paper is dark on one side, and light on the other so the possiblities are endless. I really like this paper. Here's the supplies I used: Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog Thanks for stopping by! Happy stamping!
