Carnival glass, pressed glass with an unmistakable iridescent glaze, peaked in production during the 1920s with a variety of shapes, patterns, and colors.
This is a absolutely gorgeous piece of carnival glass made by Indiana Glass Company. It is a Princess Blue Carnival candy box and was made in the United States. This style was produced between 1970-1990. With the 1960s came a renewed interest in glassware, and Indiana Glass Company’s popular carnival glass molds were used to produce new lines of traditionally styled products in a variety of colors. Among the big sellers for the company was the King’s Crown line of clear goblets with red-tinged rims. Indiana’s Carnival glass pieces, as well as the items it made for its Tiara line, carried the company through the 1970s and ’80s. It is filled with a hand poured soy candle, scented with Blueberry Cobbler; A luscious buttery bakery accord leads to the blend of wild blueberry and brown sugar at the heart of this fragrance. Sweet vanilla bean and warm spiced cinnamon create gourmand appeal for the fruit dessert. The shop has many different carnival glass pieces ranging from this beautiful blue carnival, green carnival, pink carnival, and marigold carnival. Electric Blue Carnival Glass Two Flowers Bowl. This bowl was produced by Fenton glass over a hundred years ago. The colors, which are absolutely fantastic on this example, were produced by spraying a solution of metallic oxides on the hot glass. This caused the metals inside the glass to corrode or oxidize producing spectacular colors. This process makes each piece of glass unique in color and hand finishing makes each unique in shape. *** the little wire looped on the back is so the piece can be hung on the wall as art... Thats included for nothing extra. This example is one of the best you will ever find because it presents every color in the rainbow... less

This Fenton Carnival Glass Bowl is a gorgeous iridescent green. The design on the inside of the bowl is known as “stippled rays” as they resemble the rays of the sun emanating from the center to the edge. The rim of the bowl is known as a “tight candy ribbon edge” or “ruffled edge” with varying heights called arches. This piece is a stunning example of Aurora glass which reached the height of its popularity in the 1920s when electric lighting was scarce because its shimmery finish caught the light in even in darkest of corners. It was nicknamed “Carnival glass” in the 1950s when pieces were often awarded as carnival prizes. So colorful and elegant... pictures cannot do it justice! Measuring 7½ inches in diameter at the top and 2¾ inches tall, this would be an impressive addition to any collection. less
