I am so excited to share this AMAZING 7th Heaven themed birthday party styled by Send in the Clowns for twin girls, Reese and Stella, turning 7. Party Details as Told by Send in the Clowns: Twin girls and their guests were in 7th Heaven at this incredibly dreamy birthday extravaganza Send In The Clowns Events modeled after a Pop-Up Museum. The 7th Heaven party featured 7 interactive, magical areas that included unicorns, mountaintops, a mobile candy store, a custom dance floor, a 50-foot pool of balls, luxe craft stations and a rainbow tasting station. The girls were feted in advance of the birthday festivities with a dreamy heart, rainbow and light-filled indoor installation that arrived several days ahead of the event and later served to spectacularly greet guests at the entrance to the party. Climb Every Mountain. A custom 7th Heaven logo – inspired by the number 7 - doubled as a lightning bolt and arched above the multi-colored, tented interactive activity stations and the impressive mountain climbing inflatable. Taste The Rainbow. An interactive juice bar with over-the-moon jewel-toned drink dispensers and healthy, fresh-squeezed juice concoctions. Ride the Unicorn. Guest enjoyed a unicorn ride around the gorgeous property as one of the incredibly magical party options. Seventh Heaven. A retro neon sign with angel wings served as the perfect Instagram wall. Like A Kid In A Candy Store. A mobile candy store to satisfy the sweet tooth in everyone. Live Art Wall. Guest were encouraged to dream in color with this inspiring, over-sized coloring wall that doubled as a keepsake for the guests of honor after the party was over. Don’t Grow Up. It’s A Trap. The Heaven on Earth Lounge, complete with cloud and rainbow pillows, boxwood ottomans and golden poufs. These are a few of (their) favorite things. A party poster wall with nods to all things loved by the birthday girls! Wall Of Fame. Guested flipped over this interactive Sequin Flip Wall that shimmered from white to gold. The Pool Of (SEVEN thousand) Balls where guests could use watermelon rings to float through a sea of pink, white and golden balls. Inspiring, other-worldly desserts. One for each birthday girl! Marnie from Phoenicianista throws amazing parties. Her attention to detail and creativity blow me away every time. That's why I'm so excited to debut her latest party here on the blog, an under-the-sea Atlantis extravaganza for her daughter. Marnie made gorgeous tissue paper to deck the house. The length of the tissue, the organic look of the torn and crumpled material, the raffia stringing it--all added to a dreamy, wavy, undersea atmosphere.

Carter never ceases to surprise me. This year when we started brainstorming about her birthday I had a few pre-conceived notions. Most of them involved glitter, paint, and something very girly. Carter on the other hand had another idea. Wipeout. She loves the show and looks forward to watching every time she visits Roxi and Pops. I'm always up for a challenge and set out to plan the best darn Wipeout party my backyard could hold! I wasn't sure which direction to head but decided to draw inspiration from the famous "Big Red Balls". Her invitation (minus our address and phone number to protect the innocent *smile*)... From there it was surprising how easily everything came together. First up, a table full of goodies... I especially loved the way her cake with name banner turned out... Carter gave everything her seal of 6 year old approval... And then it was time for the fun to begin! We set up our backyard with a mini Wipeout course (age appropriate for our little contestants). Giant slide... and Big Red Balls were a must! We also added lot's of bubbles for good measure... Once everyone had arrived we gathered all the munchkin's... So "Big Nate" (who is a really good sport) could show them how it was done! First you plummet down the giant slide... Then it's on to the Big Red Balls... Next up the Soapy Swamp where you dig until you find a ring... Then a weave through the crooked noodles, just watch out for those crazy hitters (Carter demo's this one)... If you manage to make it through give yourself a big pat on the back! The kids couldn't wait for their turn... They each had a chance to run the course on their own and it was highly entertaining... A couple of great wipeouts made things even more fun... After they all got the hang of things it was a free for all on the course... My favorite part of the day was the giant smile that was plastered on Carter's face every time I saw her... I think it's safe to say she and her buddies had a great time... Even the littlest guests found something to make them giggle... But you don't have to take my word for it...check out our day in motion (you may want to pause the music at the bottom before watching)... When everyone was all wiped out we headed over for a little cake... Note to self: Those fancy "sparkler" candles take a realllllly long time to light... FINALLY! Make a wish... It was one of those really great days. Because if you ask me there is no better reason to celebrate than life. A big thanks to all of the special people who shared the afternoon with us... I'll leave you with a few more smiles... The end. *A big thanks to Brenda Marafioto (aka Rylie's mom) for donating her photography skills and helping document our day!
My little Dylan is now a big 4 years old. In keeping with our recent tradition, his birthday party theme revolved around our Halloween costumes. This party was really fun, and not just because I got to be the princess. I like having birthday parties and seeing how much fun everyone has. With 14 adults and 17 kids on Saturday at times it bordered on controlled chaos with food and catapults and swords and shields and presents, but it was awesome. The invitations (redacted for my privacy): The triple layer chocolate candy castle cake, complete with towers and a drawbridge: The food: 'Dragon tail' croissant sandwiches, cheese stick 'swords' with Ritz 'shields', 'dragon egg' grapes, 'castle carrots', 'dragon dip', 'princess pineapple', 'dragon food' goldfish, 2 types of 'dragon scale' chips, and lemonade 'dragon drink': And the fire breathing dragon drink cups: Sir Dylan: Cute baby dragon: Sir Dylan's royal fan club: Tommy with his sword down his shirt, for safe keeping: Dylan and Luke Jackman: Tommy takes his catapulting seriously: Papa helping Koen Blue with the catapult: Aut and Max Neal: Aut and Dylan in front of the dragon lair catapult target. As you can see, the dragon burned up our garden. Haha: Matt about to throw the cannon balls back to the catapults: Defending the castle: Warding off intruders: Calvin Nordstrom swinging: Trey Hecht climbing: Wanting in on the fun: Carra and Rogan Goold playing: Sweet Tyler: Princess Brayden Connelly? Bringing a wand to a sword fight with Tommy: Luke fighting off Sir Abs: Talking with Lois Nordstrom and Brindee Blue: Can't get enough of this guy: Mimi and the birthday boy: Max getting down and dirty: Mason Hecht: That's not chocolate on his lip, it's blood. He walked in front of the Tommy swinging and got clobbered 10 minutes before the party started. Oops: "I'm 4!" The party planners: What can I say? Good lookin' knight. (I need to remember not to let my nose get all smashed up next time. Looks silly.): Colton running around with one of the party favor shields: The catapults turned into pitching machines: Cake time: Yum: Chloe wanted to put on the armor dress: Present time: Calvin showing Dylan the monster truck buttons: Post party relaxation: After nap time we went to Grimaldi's for pizza (or Giovani's or whatever else Matt kept calling it) and then to the Gaylord Texan Hotel for indoor tubing and to see the ICE! Nutcracker sculptures: Mimi decided her coat was warm enough and much better looking: The ICE! slide: Dylan got a little stuck: But I didn't: Love Dylan's dinosaur hat Melinda Hecht crocheted for him: Taxi made out of ice: The Nativity: So glad the Duke crew could join us to celebrate Dylan's birthday. We sure know how to pack our weekends full of fun! Happy birthday, Dylan! We love you, buddy!

Fans of the hit 2015 and 2017 Disney Original Movies, Descendants and Descendants 2m have been waiting on pins and needles for two years for this moment...the premiere of Disney Descendants 3! This long-awaited installment of the musical trilogy sequel has many of the favorite characters returning-Mal, Evie, Ben, Jay and Carlos. Each of them have a different appearance than in the first and second film, as they have grown and changed. The plot of the film is pretty simple. Mal, the daughter of Maleficent, was raised to be bad but has turned good since attending Auradon Prep. She and the other former villain kids return t o the Isle of the Lost to recruit a new batch of offspring of Disney villains in the hope of turning them to well behaved teens. However, when attempting to leave the Isle of the Lost a barrier breach threatens the safety of Auradon and the ability to leave the island. Mal decides she must permanently close the barrier, and issues ensue. In this film, Uma, the wicked daughter of Ursula the sea witch returns. Hades, from the 1997 animated hit movie Hercules, is a central character and the nemesis of Mal. Will good triumph over evil?
