It's been a long time since I posted. I will just say 2014 wasn't the best year for me, I lost my mom who was also my best friend, and later in the year had a small stroke. I am almost back to normal. I am so thankful for my brothers and S-I-Ls, who are more like sisters, and my nieces and nephews for getting me through his bad time. I am starting to list on eBay again, mostly older art that I have. I have begun to finish up new items that I hope to list in the coming weeks. Below are items that are for sale now: A new laminated bookmark and older pastel drawings: Click on pictures to go to auction. I hope you enjoy seeing these older pastels again! Thanks for stopping by.

YOU ROCK!!! I will forever be grateful to my Hubby for this gift. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart." Julie Merrill, Carson City NV "Babe" 8"x 6" watercolor ©2014 " I want to thank you again for the beautiful painting of my dog, Babe. She is a Great Pyrenees; therefore totally white which would be a challenge to any painter. I was so impressed with your use of subtle warm and cool colors to show depth and texture in her coat. So artfully done! She has a soulful, kindly look about her and you also captured that quality! Babe is going on her 8th year so if I lose her in the years to come, I will always have this wonderful reminder of her beauty and spirit. I am so happy with this lovely work!" ...Carol Bowles; Midway, Ky. "Will-o-the-Wisp" 7"x 5" oil on gessobord ©2013 "Thanks, Tina. I look forward to receiving the painting. Reminds of so many of the kitties we had growing up on a dairy farm in Kansas." Linda Reed, Colorado "Kirk" 7"x 5" watercolor ©2014 "Thank you very much for the beautiful painting. Kirky’s eyes are so life-like. And you captured the expression on his face perfectly. This is exactly how he looks when he knows that something is cooking on the stove but also wants to keep in sight in case there is something tasty in my hand and he tries to look in both directions. George says thank you too. He is delighted with his birthday present. We’ll get it framed this weekend according to your instructions." Thank you again for the lovely gift. She was 18 years old. Her memory is kept alive by the painting that the artist, Tina Welter, did of her. The painting is a perfect replica and keeps her alive in my memory. It hangs in my bedroom and graces my life when I retire for the evening and wake in the morning." As with many classics, if Beatrix Potter’s tales have become invisibly “charming,” it is time to return to them and see them anew. The Tale of Two Bad Mice captures perfectly not only Potter’s “subversive” side with respect to bourgeois society, but more primitively, her reworking of what we must surmise are the frustrations of her youth.
Three middle names, an unexpected fondness for Nancy and Ralph, siblings named Badger — and that’s just the start of the new British baby naming trends.
Have you ever heard of "Virtual Plein Air"? It is a term used to describe an act of creating art inspired by Google Street Views. Artists literally look for exciting or interesting places they can then use as a source for their illustrations.
I haven't posted any classics of children's illustration for a while. Most charity shops I go to no longer really stock any children's books, and if they do they only keep main stream ones. However I was compelled to buy 'The Cat Thief' by Joan Cass, illustrated by William Stobbs when I saw it on Sheila Moxley's blog. I am not disappointed with my purchase the pictures are great.
