My Dad’s Dad was from Antigua, and my Mum’s family is Irish and English. I am more familiar with navigating White spaces, although I am aware of being ‘other’ even when White people say t
My Mum is mixed-race Black British and grew up in a tiny family, predominantly in a village just outside of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, called Sea Palling. My Mum’s Father was Joseph Emmanuel Victor and he was from Trinidad and came over in 1950, in the ebb of Windrush. He was a printer by trade but wh

Both my parents were born and raised in London. My Mum’s parents are from Jamaica and my Dad’s, Cyprus. So, I’m told they met in my Granda
I would identify myself as a spiritual woman of colour. My parents are both British, my dad’s family are from Lancashire and my mother’s parents came to the UK from Trinidad in the ‘60s. I’m not really sure when I first began to understand I was mixed. I think I was always aware because I didn’t loo
I am mixed-race woman from a White Dutch mother and a Black Surinam Father, they call it also Creools. It’s a mix of African, Arawak Indian, Chinese and Jewish. The Father from my Father is from a black Creools Father and a (White) Jewish mother (probably Portuguese Jewish). The Mother of my Father
My Mum is from Palestine and my Dad is from Florence, Italy. Both my parents are very family centered and they wanted me and my brother to have strong connections to both sides of our family, so we travelled to Italy and the Middle East often whilst growing up. This meant that I got to experience di
