Not Hirst's 22ft version, but one of the originals. I think it's probably a rarity now: it's years since I've seen one actually deployed as a collection box. This one is in aid of Vranch House, a school in Exeter catering for the needs of children with physical disabilities. The school is owned and maintained by the Devon and Exeter Spastics Society; and the collection box was a model originally used by what was then known as the Spastics Society (now Scope) from the 1960s.

Are you guys ready for a chocolate fix? Have you heard of Hong Kong's Harbour City Chocolate Trail? I just learned about it the other night and wanted to share it with you. It's an annual charity event that benefits Hong Kong's Blood Cancer Foundation. It's held in Harbour City* where everything is CHOCOLATE and/or has a CHOCOLATE/DESSERT theme (like the displays pictured in this post). *Harbour City is a large shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. I didn't find many official pictures from the 2013 event, but I found an amazing kawaii blog called modeS Blog that attended the event and took some great photos. I didn't want to post her personal photos, so if you want to view more from the 2013 event, please visit her blog (part 1 and part 2). All I can say is I'm in chocolate heaven! A bathtub filled with whip cream, a chocolate bed with cookie pillows and a pink cake quilted sofa. YES, PLEASE! This is what dreams are made of (well at least mine! hahaha). Total visual eye candy! I swear I would be at this mall all day (and I don't even like malls) just to see this exhibition. And it's an annual event! So it changes every year! Amaze-balls! >.< photo credit: modeS Blog part 1 and part 2 HK Harbour City Facebook Page Now, the pictures below are what I found the other night and what started this obsession! These are from the 2012 Harbour City Chocolate Trail. It is off the charts! Don't these pictures look like something from the movie The Matrix? My heart started to palpitate with each and every picture. Sweets suspended in air? Yes, please! HaHaHa Throw me a macaron! From what I could decipher, these ads were created by a group called NAM for the 2012 Harbour City Chocolate Trail. If you think the ads are gorgeous, just look at the shopping mall set up. Over sized fondue fountains, cupcakes on chocolate gushing pedestals, chocolate bars dripping in chocolate and a super-sized macaron tree!?! This is a fundraiser like no other! Goodness-gracious-GOD-almighty! Asians know how to throw a party! I LOVE IT! Between Britain and Asia, you guys get me each and every time. The creativity is amazing.
