On January 18, 1960, Stuart W. Fitzgerald drove away from Hays Chevrolet on Central Avenue in Staunton, Virginia, with a brand new 1960 Chevrolet Impala four-door sedan. He owned and drove the car until 2013, when he traded it in on a new model.

The photo shows my Paternal Grandmother with my 3 oldest cousins. Taken about 1936/7 outside Jordan Ontario Canada at Hannigan's Tourist Camp. With its suicide front and rear doors and military style wheels it's a Chevrolet Master Sedan. Not as common as the standard Chevrolet and with its terrible reputation for problems not likely many survived the used car market and war drive for scrap metal.
