Why do you paint n*des? The answer is while studying my degree in art life drawing was a must. Our model at the time was an older lady with so much confidence, empowerment and self worth. She would openly stand in the n*de and talk to everyone, address the class and talk to the tutors. Her confidence was powerful, I remember thinking I want to be like that. Since that moment I fell in love with figurative art. ♥️🫶

A busy studio dump 🚮 1. Working on this huge piece. Can’t seem to get the colour right of the bottom female. 2. Sneak peek of the Aphrodite canvas print. I created them with pine frames until I found out they could only come in white 😭 so sorry x 3. Taking a chill pill with my Home mug after having several breakdowns over the first painting ☕️ 4. Created a mock up of how Persephone would look in her forever home 🏠 5. The return of the boobles is happening.

These are the pieces I’ve been envisioning in my head. Those blended backgrounds and tones. The body melting into the canvas. I am OBSESSED. This is only the beginning of these pieces, it’s what the large one is supposed to look like but didn’t quite turn out. Do you love these?
