Don't know about you guys, but we just love looking at things really close up! So, we are very excited to introduce you to an Armenian physics teacher Suren Manvelyan who used his friends, colleagues and pupils as models to make amazing close-ups of the human eye. Taken in my back garden with a 105mm macro lens. Its a manual focus lens on my D40, so had one hand holding the camera and the other on the dandelion. This has had no processing other than a sharpen and a slight exposure adjustment as it was a little bright.
There’s an undeniable allure to watching how the shadow perfectly lines up with the pavement. Or how the tiles align in shockingly neat repetitive patterns. **Macro photography** is the art of taking close-up pictures that reveal details which can't be seen with the naked eye. For example, while we can see the fly on the wall, our eyes aren't equipped to make out the fine details of the hairs on it's face. This is where macro photography comes in. It gives us a glimpse into the world of the very small, which goes largely unnoticed by us as we hurriedly shuffle through our day.
