“The Dark Star” Ornamental Arming Sword Stainless Steel Sword This simple yet stunning sword was heavily inspired by the XV century. We have taken all of the best parts of history to create what we feel is a quintessential late XV century European sword, complete with straight quillons and rings around the crossguard. There isn’t much about this sword that is extravagant or showy – the beauty comes purely from the simplicity. Arming swords were the weapon you would grab when your pike is broken or if you need a quick weapon in a fight. They were used by many different types of people, from footmen to nobles, and were very much just an everyday fighting tool. Keep in mind, though, that this particular arming sword probably isn’t going to help you much when your village is raided, because it is purely ornamental! It cannot be honed or sharpened and is hollow inside to make it a bit lighter. We trust that you will still treat this sword with respect and not swing it dangerously around animals, people, or anything of value. Constructed from 1.5mm stainless steel, this sword feels weighty and substantial in your hand. The hollow blade reduces the weight a little bit, which will make it an awesome cosplay prop. Stainless steel construction is great because it won’t take nearly as much polishing or care to keep it shiny and rust-free. Quality leather has been used to wrap the handle of the sword, which makes it sit very well in your hand. This type of grip is both comfortable and very functional, as it will stay in your hand better due to the texture of the leather. The sword is finished with an attractive geometric pommel. Please contact us if you have any additional questions. Important note: this item is intended to be used as a decorative piece only. This sword is not a weapon, it can't be sharpened and must be used only in places where it is safe: away from children and any other people and objects that may be accidentally harmed. Please use it responsibly and take into account that by buying this piece you confirm that you agree to take full responsibility for your safety and safety of other people that may be potentially harmed.
