Gir is a little guy that stands at about 9.5 inches from the tips of his ears to his feet. He is a very simple pattern with the only fancy stitch being a “triple decrease/increase” which is just a decrease and an increase across 3 stitches instead of 2. •Nessie Pattern-learning in English. •NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. •Pattern for advanced crocheters. •Time I need to create ONE Nessie: 16 hours. a d d i t i o n a l i n f o r m a t i o n • fluffy yarn and hook I used - 4 and a half skeins of Himalaya Koala (1 skein - 3.5 oz - 109 yards)/ 100 grams - 100 meters)) & size of hook - 4.5 mm. SO, IN TOTAL I NEED 450 meters of fluffy yarn; • size of my Cuddly Rainbow Nessie Monster - 49.1' (1.25 m). The pattern consists of 66 pages of step-by-step creation of the Nessie Monster from fluffy yarn, 21 videos and more than 50 photos of the process. This listing includes two files. The first one is the pattern-learning with video- and photo- materials. The second is a shortened version of the pattern so that you can just print the Monster pattern itself. AND YES, you can sell ready-made Nessie Monsters, BUT please only according to the original design in the pattern-learning! This is like my copyright protection as a designer! I decided that it would be safer if I write all this🤞🏻 OF COURSE, you can change all the color combinations, the structure/type of the yarn, the size and shape, quantity of all the details that are in the pattern and there are ON Nessie (horns, felt details, tail detail). First of all, it is your creative imagination🌈☁️✨I'm just talking about keeping the original shape design and the main idea of Nessie's Monsters, which is in the pattern-learning! Also please do not forget to tag me under the post with your incredible Nessie’s! Please note the complexity of this pattern-learning. Unfortunately, I will not give you the basic knowledge of how to start crocheting with fluffy yarn, but I will TRY to teach you how to crochet a Nessie from fluffy yarn. Have you got your hook and fluffy yarn READY? So let's go together on an unforgettable journey of creating Cuddly Nessie Monster!
Have you heard of Mizzie Morawez? Well, I had the pleasure to learn about her a couple of years ago, and while planning the Inspiration Mondays I thought she certainly deserves more attention and a little space to be given on my blog to showcase her stunning crochet pieces. For, whenever I come upon one of Mizzie's creations, I stop immediately to wonder in awe at her astonishing and extraordinary freeform crochet. The unbelievable and exceptional construction of her pieces, use of yarn, colors and patterns will leave you speechless. Literally. This is what she says about herself and her crochet art: "I´m a friendly alienated hyper-creative multimedia artist & free lance interior designer for a living. I believe we are creating our own reality, so why not make it a place of joy & fearlessness - I´m proud to be making this world a better place one room at a time & supporting other people to create their realities as well. One more essential aspect of my personal reality is my lifelong passion for creating wearable-art- garments of all sorts & styles for true individuals who are not afraid to self-express & show the world who they are! To me fashion is like a stage for personal theatre - you act out your feelings and attitudes in as subtle or dramatic a way as you wish to show, and there is no better way to help you achieve that goal than through art-to-wear clothing. There are no two people exactly alike, why should they wear exactly the same thing? This thought convinced me of the necessity to create individual pieces which will speak to each person in a secret language understandable only to the two of them - until they meet. So, be yourself, find yourself, express yourself, make art part of your daily life, and if I can help you on this road, it will be my biggest reward." Find more on Mizzie's blog and Flickr

Everyone has to start somewhere. In this book, we will be going step by step through ten cute little amigurumi crochet patterns. Also included are basic stitch tutorials to help you along the way. What started as something to pass the time during quarantine has turned into so much more. These toys bring me joy when I make them and even more when I give them away. I hope that my creations will bring you and your lucky loved ones hours of happiness as well. When I first started, it took me a week just to figure out how to make a ball. It took even longer to get my fingers and hands used to holding a crochet hook. Crocheting can be frustrating at first but like with all things new, your body will develop muscle memory and over time, you will find that it will get easier. Always remember that nothing is hard, only new. There is no right way or wrong way to crochet. Whatever works for you, your body, and your ability is the right way. Crochet is an art form and like all art forms, is open to personal interpretation. Crochet patterns function as guidelines only, and I encourage you to bring your own artistic flair to each pattern. Do not be afraid to use different hooks or types of yarn. Experiment by changing the colors. Add accessories, modify the body shape, and bring your own individual spice to each pattern. Sometimes it will work; most of the time, it will not, and that is perfectly fine because in the end, you will end up with something that is yours. Something that you created. Via Freeform crochet has always been immensely attractive for me. It shows the amazing creative genius of the artist and the skills to turn those varied shapes and forms into tangible, awe-striking masterful constructions. Once in a while, I like to delve into freeform crochet, but this summer, the desire to fully engage into it is hugely pronounced. I have already made several freeform necklaces, but I decided to bead them all and the beading is going slow. So, I have nothing to show you right now, but I am hopeful to have them ready by the end of the week. How about you? Have you tried freeform crochet? What have you made? Via Via Via

I am a big fan of the Scott Pilgrim series by Bryan Lee O'Malley. My favorite character and the one I identify with the most is Ramona Flowers. If you haven't read the graphic novels I highly suggest you do, they are wonderful. I made this pattern for my cosplay of Ramona but it turned out so well I want to share it with you. The pattern I used for the star can be found here. What you need: Worsted weight yarn in desired colors (I made the video game themed one so I used aqua, hot pink, and white) Size I (5.5mm) hook Scissors Yarn Needle Sewing needle and thread Zipper Plastic canvas (optional) Fabric for lining (optional) Suitcase side 1: Work in continuous rounds with main color Round 1: work 12 dc in magic ring -12 st Round 2: work 2 dc in each dc around - 24 st Round 3: *2 dc in next st, dc in next st, rep from * around - 36 st Round 4: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 48 st Round 5: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 60 st Round 6: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 72 st Round 7: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around - 84 st Round 8: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around - 96 st Round 9: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 7 sts, rep from * around - 108 st Round 10: dc in each dc around, BLO -108 st Round 11: dc in each dc around -108 st Row 12: dc 54 break yarn -54 st Row 13: join yarn and start of last row, dc in each dc across -54 st break yarn and weave in ends Suitcase side 2: Work in continuous rounds with main color Round 1: work 12 dc in magic ring -12 st Round 2: work 2 dc in each dc around - 24 st Round 3: *2 dc in next st, dc in next st, rep from * around - 36 st Round 4: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 48 st Round 5: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 60 st Round 6: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 72 st Round 7: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around - 84 st Round 8: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around - 96 st Round 9: *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 7 sts, rep from * around - 108 st Row 10: dc 54 in BLO, break yarn -54 st Row 11: join yarn and start of last row, dc in each dc across -54 st break yarn and weave in ends Assembly: With your accent color (I used hot pink) join yarn and sc around the ridge created by the BLO round on side one of your suitcase. Finish off and weave in ends. On second side join accent yarn and sc around BLO row, place side one on side two and join the rest of the way around with sc. Break yarn and weave in ends. Your bag will look like a bag now. With desired color work strap. I started mine right under the open portion. Work 6 dc wide, crochet till it is about 4-5 inches shorter than the length you want it to be (remember crochet stretches with wear). Sew securely to opposite side tie well, and weave in ends. Now your bag is together you can sew on your star. This pattern was the one I used. Sew in zipper. I used the only zipper I had that was long enough, it was red but it didn't really matter. You can leave your bag like this but it is rather squishy so if you would like it to stand out more you can cut strips of plastic canvas to sew in to stiffen the edges then line with fabric to keep in place. You can see more photos here. Subspace Suitcase on Ravelry ***This pattern is fan art. I did not invent the subspace suitcase or the Scott Pilgrim series, the amazing Bryan Lee O'Malley did. I made this in homage of my favorite character. Please use this pattern for private use only.***
