In 1910 a majestic bronze sculpture was found in the Nigerian city of Ife. It obsessed a German ethnologist, but his racist assumptions about Africa and its people kept him from exploring the true artistic genius of the Yoruba culture and its creations.
INI CERAMIQUE is a handmade ceramic practice of Inhee Ma, a Korean artist and designer currently based in France. Through the development of collections built around a minimalist wabi-sabi aesthetic, her stoneware creations generate a dialogue between craftsmanship, art, and fusing different cultures. A graduate of the Montpellier School of Fine Arts, Inhee engages in a multidisciplinary practice, combining contemporary art, design, and craftsmanship. The INI CERAMIQUE collections celebrate the combination of aesthetic inspiration and the functionality of everyday objects. By combining visual qualities with functional design, Inhee creates artful additions to daily surroundings. Through this latest collection, Inhee aims to reinterpret the works of painter Giorgio Morandi and channel her inspiration into a series of contemporary vessels. Other models draw inspiration from the complex patterns and shapes found in the legacy of ancient Greek vases, or traditional Korean ornaments, to which Inhee seeks to bring a sense of modernity. All INI CERAMIQUE pieces are handcrafted by Inhee Ma herself in her studio in France.

Artist Paolo Del Toro uses needle felting to create massive masks and sculptures out of wool and foam. His creations depict mythical faces in expressions that range from grotesque grimaces to contemplative introspection; all of his works feature open mouths. While Del Toro’s work is not tied to any particular cultural visual heritage, the shifting personalities of his characters are reminiscent of Japanese Noh theater masks, which are designed to show different emotions from different angles. We ship via DHL EXPRESS worldwide, the estimated delivery time is approximalety 1 week. 100% Handmade Reproduction of a peruvian couple Chancay dolls. These dolls are from the Peruvian Chancay culture. The dolls are made using ancient textile fragments. They are re-creations of a doll-making tradition that existed 1000 years ago along the arid central coast of Peru. Modern indigenous Peruvian artisans recreate Chancay dolls (named after the Chancay culture that inhabited the central coast of Peru ca. AD 1000 - 1476) in the old style using ancient fabrics. The Chancay culture is believed to have been conquered and incorporated into the Inca Empire in the mid to late 13th century. The original Chancay dolls did not have embroidered faces but instead the facial features were woven into a piece of cloth which was wrapped around plant fiber to form the doll's head. The original dolls have been found in tombs and were possibly funerary offerings. -Please contact us if you have any questions about our products and we'll be happy to help you. -Thank you for visiting my shop. -You can contact us with this email: [email protected]
