Ora tocca a voi! Come sempre partecipando alla nostra sfida potrete vincere un buono a estrazione da 25$ da spendere sul favoloso store di SIMON SAYS STAMP! Potete aggiungere fino a 5 progetti per settimana! Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Thank you for joining us for the Christmas Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too. This week we are challenging you to get arty in your: ART JOURNAL. As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Dyan Reaveley. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used. This week we are welcoming the lovely Joanne Travis aka Sleepy In Seattle into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat! The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP! I confess ... I'm not a big fan of the Art Journal and I don't even have the technical skills to make particularly interesting pages from this point of view, so I decided to make a Journal that looks more like a Bullet Journal than an Art Journal. The Bullet Journal is an idea that I really like, maybe it could be useful also because I'm very messy and not very organized so help in programming could be for me. For now, I have done the first two pages, a kind of cover for the month of December, I would like to fill the following ones with my lists but always in Tim Holtz style! I'm still studying it! In the meantime I hope you like the pages I made today, there is nothing of technique but it is fun to look for the pieces that match well, use some stamps and some stencils to create something aesthetically pleasing! I hope I have succeeded! Let me know this on my Instagram profile if you feel like it! Are you ready for the next Crafty Twins Mood Board Challenge? I created the mood board for this month and even though they aren't my normal sort of colours, I've been LOVING orange lately! As soon as I saw this sunset, I knew it would be the perfect photo for this mood board, all those oranges and yellows. I created my own pattern paper with an old Ashley G stamp to replicate the wallpaper from the mood boards and I was really inspired by those orange squares of paper, so I cut my photo into a grid and folded down the top left corner of my page, revealing a little pop of copper (after a bit of a mistake and a bit of luck!). Here is the process video of how these pages came together... You can watch this video on YouTube or subscribe to my YouTube channel here. Please head on over and check out Essie's gorgeous creation as well. If you do make something inspired by this mood board, PLEASE let me know, I can't wait to see what you come up with!
I have actually been pretty creative a few days in October. I made 8 layouts at a crop one weekend. The week after was pretty unproductive though. I don't know if I drained my creativity with the crop, or that I get a little tired after a full weekend - friday evening to Sunday afternoon with a full room of other scrappers and sleeping on an inflatable bed..... OR that I have become a too social scrapper and that I would love to have someone to scrap with everyday...... It might even be a mix... I know I would love to meet up to scrap more often, and I am very sorry that I don't know any local scrappers to meet up with. All crops have been around 1 hour away in three different directions. So if you live in or around Røyken and is interesting in coming here and scrap - you are very welcome... So here are lots of layouts... Layout made with the Shimelle collection from American Crafts Next layout - Fancy Pants designs - and October sketch Last a layout made with mostly the Open Book collection from Crate Paper (Maggie Holmes) I have ordered more from it, so I am ready to make more.

It is time for the weekly Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge. I am a guest designer for April and May! The Shining Light Challenge! ODBDSLC150 is to make a project that contains either Scripture or Hymns. An easy challenge if you are using ODBD stamps! I chose a stamp from Scripture Collection 1 for my focal image. I stamped the image in black in and die cut it with a label die template. I love the font combination on this stamp. It is so beautiful. For a tutorial on how to create this flower, click HERE. For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my DT sisters: Jan Marie Ennenga Audrey Hiltke Cathy McCauley Diana Nguyen Chris Olsen Kathy Roney To see all the creations in one place or join the challenge, click here. You have until April 21st at 8pm EST to join us. You do not have to use an ODBD stamp to join in, but we would love to see them if you have them. Plus, your card will only be featured in the top 3 if you use ODBD stamps. Anyone, however, has a chance to win the $15 certificate toward ODBD stamps. We would love to see your creations. It's the 3rd, and that means the new CAS Christmas Card Challenge starts. This month is being hosted by Bonnie and the challenge theme is Ornament. I thought alcohol ink is one of the perfect medium for showing the translucent shininess of baubles. I made an Alcohol Ink background and die-cut the baubles from it. The sentiment was heat embossed in silver. I thought something was missing but I didn't want to add a possible distraction from the baubles, so I made a subtle frame impression. I used a stitched rectangle die and embossing pads to make an impression of the frame. Close-up of the baubles: I'm sure you'll find lots of inspiration from the beautiful cards our Design Team made. Please check out the challenge blog, and play along with us. I hope to see you in the gallery! Stamp: Embellished Events (Stampin' Up!) Paper: Yupo Paper (Ranger), Whisper White, Foil Paper (Silver - Stampin' Up!) Ink: Alcohol Ink (Purple Twilight, Indigo, Turquoise, Patina, Silver Metallic Mixative - Ranger), VersaMark (Tsukineko) Accessories: Stitched Ornaments (Lawn Fawn), Die-namics A4 Stitched Rectangle STAX (My Favorite Things), Embossing Powder (Silver - Hero Arts), Embossing Pads (Spellbinders)

Well- after I started making a few of the planner pages for the 16 free quilt planner series, I kind of realized that it had been awhile since I had sewn.
It took me forever to figure out what I wanted to do with this Tag Tuesday challenge-I am not a scrapbooker and envy those who are-but I finally came up with something the day before a new challenge comes out-late, as usual! Anyway, these little photos are computer copies of my paternal grandparents, who were very much in love for the entire time they were together. Sadly, my grandfather passed away only 4 years after their 25th wedding anniversary, in 1955. My grandma lived a full life, but remained devoted to her sweetheart, never marrying again, even though she was a widow at the age of only 54, and lived until 1979. They were wonderful, wonderful people. My dad is now gone, too, but his brothers are still with us, one turning 80 and the other turning 69 this year. This wonderful theme over at Kard Krazy has inspired me to look into learning how to scrapbook so that I can try and preserve the precious memories of my family. Thanks, Louise for a great theme! Angel Angella Angie Becca Betty Chris Cindy Dina Jami Jane Judy Kelley Kim Laurie Lorelie Sita Stacy For my card, I used one of the verses from Lift Up Our Hands as my focal image. I stamped in Close to My Heart Cocoa ink, then sponged with Old Paper and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. I coated the panel in Stampin' Up's glassy glaze embossing powder twice to create a lacquered look. Here's a close-up of that: The background panel is dry embossed wtih the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder and machine-stitched using some metallic thread. I used Angel Wings Shimmerz to coat the two paper flowers I used as embellishments. I also decorated the inside. Hello! Happy Wednesday! We are officially into fall now and it has to be one of my favourite seasons - okay, it's my favourite. I love the coolness in the air and the beautiful colours of the leaves. I also love pumpkins...have I mentioned that before?! I have an obsession with stuffed ones. Okay, so I have only just started this obsession but I found the cutest knit one at Hobby Lobby when we were vacationing in Kentucky. It made the trip home with us! As I told my friend Linda Callahan the other day, I'm a funky nut! So we have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today courtesy of the amazing Rita Wright. She is our in house colouring queen. Well, many of our team colour fabulously but Rita can colour anything! Head to her blog and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. I was a little stumped with Rita's sketch but then decided I would give a fall'ish wreath a try. I whipped out the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and die and after about 4 tries finally got a half decent wreath I could use. If you struggle with this stamp set, know you aren't alone. If you don't struggle, know you are alone!!!! I decided to keep the background and my banner white, though in hindsight it probably should have been vanilla. Oh well. I like white! I threw on some Crushed Curry flowers and some pearls and called it a day! Supplies: Cardstock: Whisper White, Early Espresso Stamps: Wondrous Wreath, Acorny Thank You, Pictogram Punches Ink: Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry Other: Wondrous Wreath Framelits, Itty Bitty Punches (?), Basic Pearls, Banner Framelits, Itty Bitty Banners, Dimensionals Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you get the chance to pop over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards the design team has created! You won't be disappointed! Have a fabulous day! Jen
Dag dames, Nieuwe maand dus een leuke nieuwe SCR@P Challenge voor jullie. Hebben jullie er zin in? Natuurlijk heeft ons SCR@P tea...
Always behind. lol Today is Freshly Made Sketches day and I finally got my act together and am joining in this week. :) The amazing Cindy L. is our sketch designer and I just love what she created. It made for a lot of different interpretations by the design team, so I know the gallery will be fabulous this week! I used this great set from Two Paper Divas called Lucky Me for my card. It is such a perfect set for me since my brother's birthday is March 17th! I can't wait to make him a birthday card! Isn't that a great sketch? Be sure you go over to the blog and check out what everyone did with it. I hope you'll decide to play along as well! Her new thing is to carry her stool every.single.place. in the house so that she has more access to things. Help! lol
