In The Paradiso, Dante explores the goal of human striving: the merging of individual destiny with universal order. One of the towering creations of world literature, this epic discovery of truth is a work of mystical intensity? an immortal hymn to God, Nature, Eternity, and Love.
Hi eclectic Paperie friends! Julia here with a tag I made using a delicious technique I saw on Wendy Vecchi's blog here. First - here is my finished tag. I used lots of techniques on my tag which I'll describe below but first I want to show you how I used the delicious technique from Wendy on the Tim Holtz Apothecary Bottle! (Wendy used the new trophy die in her tutorial but I don't have that so I looked at all my TH dies to see what I could use instead!). This jar ended up looking like one of those big milk cans dairy farmers use!? But it's actually a vase for my pretty floral! I started by die cutting the Apothecary Bottles and then brushing Studio 490 Metallic Silver Embossing Paste onto the pieces. On some pieces I did thick coats and some I did thin - each will give you a different look. I forgot to take pics of the specific jar I used on my tag but here are other pieces with the Silver Embossing paste on them. Then I rubbed Archival Orange Blossom and Cornflower blue over the pieces. To finish them off - I applied some Adirondack Silver Acrylic Paint with my finger. I adhered a piece of White Clearly for Art to the back - heated it with my heat gun so I could make a curve to the bottle (the clearly for art will soften with the heat and then hold the curve when it cools). I added some trim pieces from Industrious Stickers/Frames and Trims that I inked with Archival Orange Blossom Ink. The wooden frame and butterfly are Prima Wood Embellishments/Stationers Desk inked with Orange Blossom and Cornflower Blue. I colored the body of the butterfly with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen. I added the Chit Chat sticker fly that I inked with Ranger Distress Vintage Photo. Ok - so now that I have that exciting piece explained - let me tell you how I made the rest of my tag! So first, I die cut my tag with Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplate die out of a piece of Ranger Watercolor Cardstock. I stamped just the stem and flower from Studio 490 Forever Art on the tag and on a scrap of watercolor card stock. I colored them with Barn Door, Spiced Marmelade and Peeled Paint Ranger Distress Markers then went over the coloring with a water brush. Next I stamped on the tag using two background stamps from Studio 490 - From A-Z and Ornate Dots (LOVE this dots stamp!) with Archival Watering Can Ink. I held the stamps in my hand so I could control where I stamped on the tag. Then I sponged all over the tag with Ranger Distress Crushed Olive and around the edges with Vintage Photo. I flicked some water over the tag then blotted it with a paper towel. I cut out some of the blooms from the flower I stamped on the scrap and layered them over the tag stamping with foam dots to make the bloom look a little bigger and dimensional. I added black dots to the centers with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen. I die cut the wreath from the Tim Holtz Regal Crest die out of Clearly for Art White - stamped it in Archival Leaf Green (I had this already made from another project and I forget what stamp I used on it!) I heated it to bend the leaves a bit and adhered it under the top of the vase with foam tape. I added the butterfly and words from Remnant Rubs/Botanicals - making the dots with the Sakura Glaze pen. The flat back DESTINY is calling button is from Um Wow Studio Nature Walk - Moon Shine Flaire. I adhered it with Glossy Accents. I stenciled Studio 490 Checkmate on the top and bottom with Archival Watering Can ink. and to finish off the top and bottom - I adhered a trim and corners from Industrious Stickers/Frames and Trims that I inked with Archival Fern Green ink. The NOTED is another wooden piece from Prima Wood Embellishments/Stationers Desk that I inked with Archival Orange Blossom. That's finally it from me today! I hope you have been inspired by my tag! Oh - and I put a Swivel Clasp through the hole on the tag! And since I used a stencil on my tag - I'm also linking it to the May e-play challenge. You have until the end of May to link up your stenciled project. I hope you'll join in! Stamps: From A-Z, Ornate Dots, Forever Art - Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi Paper: Vintage Cream - PTI, Water Color Card stock - Ranger Ink: Archival Orange Blossom, Cornflower Blue, Fern Green, Leaf Green, Watering Can; Ranger Distress Vintage Photo and Crushed Olive. I finally found the time to finish working on my April Journal for Marion's Monthly challenge. I used her April Digi Downloads that can be found at http://www.apieceofcraft.com. I decided to Coptic stitch the journal and I love how primiative it made this book look. I used some of Marion's vintage trinkets on the cover and distressed them with patina rub-n-buff and Picket Fence Distress Ink to pop a little color on the cover. The Tim Holtz word plate says "Live in the Moment" which is perfect for a monthly journal. It is so awesome to look back at each month and see all of the things that have gone on in my life. here is a video page by page walk through of the journal: Thanks for stopping in today, Tonya Gibbs http://www.psychomoms.com
At some stage in every females life they have had the experience of wearing hot pants. Whether it was short shorts, daisy dukes, disco hot pants, leather high waisted short shorts or denim shorts, whatever your preference we have all been there. So why is it that the hot pants have stood the test of time?

A while back, my crafty friend Gillian gave me a couple of rusty tiles to use for some project or another. I haven't been overly inventive with them so far but I do love them. So today I decided to make 2 in to book covers for an ongoing project. its ongoing because i intend to add more pages but am adding them in bundles of 4 at the moment. As the themes for Simon says stamp and Simon says stamp and show are "anything goes", then I am entering this. Its probably the only theme it will ever fit lol.
You were born! And that is the greatest accomplishment you can have. Sometimes the circumstances that surround our birth makes us feel as if we shouldn't be here. Guess what? You're absolutely supposed to be here! You are on a divine assignment. You are predestined to life on God's green earth! So, let get to living!

Well I was on a roll with this book until last week when I hurt my back again, so complete rest no movement ,ice ,drugs, cancelled appointments and cancelled class sorry Gail’s girls and worst of all NO ART, I’m having bad withdrawals from the art bit I mean. Judy’s class has so inspired me these piece were done before I hurt the back again I still have more to do so Hopeful maybe next week!! This page is my favorite as my dear sis Linda gave me the glass slide with the velvet pouch it goes in and the silver slide while I was at her place in the states earlier this year. I wondered what on earth was I going to do with it, but it was perfect. The little leather purse I found at an antique shop. The leaf charm up the very top was a awful bright gold piece I bought from Judy now look at it. This page took along time to attach it all together believe it or not. I found an old book at this favorite shop of mine it was from the 18 hundreds and it had pressed flowers in it so of course it was perfect for this theme. I love the poem under this picture I found it fitted in with him travelling all the time looking for specimans.“To My Wife who has put an end to my wanderings " I was a bit under sided with this page at first but I have grown to like it. I used a glass microscope slide to sandwich the feather in between which I loved . There is more to come so stay tuned Jen PS dont worry girls I did Judys class with the moth is still coming PSS This update is for You ?? You know who you are? MY stalker

"The sword of destiny has two edges. You are one of them" Since 2015 I had desire to build something in Witcher theme. After Witcher III I have read all books three times. But I was seeking for right minifigure for Geralt. I wanted to make Geralt from books, not from games. So there were some variations and finally I achived result I wanted. Also have played with Ball Joints connections to create more interesting landscape. And new for me tree technique. Just take and use everything you have under your hand. XD I hope there will be more the Witcher MOCs in the future.
