This impacts my understanding of UDL because it makes me think that a checklist would be an efficient way of spreading knowledge so that all pages produced in my department are accessible. This would be a way to spread universal design to include even more learners.

I think it's very important for non-disabled, "able bodied" people to understand that the disabled community is NOT asking for special treatment in life. We don't look at or use our accomodations, accessibility tools, mobility aids, or assistive devices as special treatment.
