-This post is in collaboration with Haven- Sev and Lily have recently been named "Director of Walkies" for Haven parks. Sharing Dog Friendly Guides to gorgeous locations around Great Britain and the perfect place to visit whilst never leaving the dogs behind. The first stop of the role was to Exmouth in Devon. Devon Cliffs is the South-East of Devon and a stunning location to explore the area and even further of the county that is known to be very dog friendly. With gorgeous beaches around the area and a few days of sun shine, together we went to find the most dog friendly things to and places to visit. Dog Friendly Guide to Devon Places to Visit The gorgeous Canonteign Falls is situated within Dartmoor National Park, and really a hidden gem. The gorgeous falls welcomes dogs on leads, and really is the picture perfect day out. The walk around the two waterfalls takes around an hour, and even longer around the lakes. The waterfalls are stunning, and Sev and Lily enjoyed playing in the water and walking through the fern gardens too. To finish off the stunning walk, dogs are welcomed into the ever so sweet cafe, serving drinks and amazing cakes. Beaches Sandy Bay, Haven's Privately owned beach, is a short walk and is dog friendly off season (October-May) The other closest beach is Exmouth, although some parts have dog restrictions there are parts of this gorgeous beach that allow dogs all year round. Shelly Beach is also close by to Exmouth town and near the Marina area. The pebbled beach is dog friendly all year round, and although not as big as the main beach, it's great for Sev and Lily to run around and enjoy the quieter area. Where to Eat There are many dog friendly pubs in and around Exmouth, and even more in the warmer weather when the beer gardens fill up. The Point was in a trendy new area near the marina, that welcomed dogs in the bar and grill. Joining for lunch, warming up with hot chocolate and lunch, while Sev and Lily got treated to dog treats and lots of fusses. Things to Do I love anything vintage and fun, being taken back in time, and even better when the dogs can join. When I heard that the South Devon Railway was dog friendly, I got way too excited and knew it was a must for this Dog Friendly Guide to Devon. The line runs from Buckfastleigh to Totnes Riverside, being able to stop at the stations or just do a round trip and enjoy the steam train. The perfect way to spend a drizzly day, and still being able to enjoy exploring Devon. The First Class cabins were free and so it truly felt like travelling on the Hogwarts Express. Sev and Lily paid their fare and even had tickets to welcome them on to the train. Enjoying sitting on our lap and watching out the window as relaxing and enjoying a chew. Where to Stay The Devon Cliffs park at Haven is the perfect location base for exploring Exmouth and the surrounding area with dogs. Seeing many dogs during our stay, all ready for their holiday too! Whilst on site, it's important to keep your dog on leads. The prestige caravan was very nautical with lovely interiors, feeling both practical for dogs and cosy too. -This post is a paid collaboration with Haven; all thoughts are our own-
