I'm sure many owners of Border collies have read Donald McCaig's book, "Nop's Trials". Personally I feel his book "The Dog Wars" ought to be required reading of any Border collie owner. Donald and Fly are waiting for the sheep to settle at the setout point before approaching the starting post.

At School For The Dogs, we believe that good training can and should be an integral part of every dog’s life. So often, a little bit of training can make a world of difference to a dog and his or her human family. Behavior issues are the number one reason that dogs are abandoned, and we are proud to have helped countless people modify their lives with their dogs in ways that have resulted in them being able to keep their dogs out of the shelter system. Unfortunately, because of the high costs associated with running a business in New York City, too often, dog training is priced in such a way that it seems like something only available to those who can afford luxuries. This is why we have just introduced a scholarship fund. The goal of this fund is to help those who are looking for assistance in paying for training for rescue dogs. All training paid for through the fund is offered by School For The Dogs trainers at a fifty percent discount; that fifty percent is paid via the fund, and the dog owner pays nothing. We try to allot three sessions to each dog owner who applies to the fund. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated! Ou Apply To apply to receive training through the fund, click here. Thank You Gift As a thank you to those who contribute at the $100 level and above, we are currently offering photo tiles in a mosaic by Jim Power that will be on permanent display in our East Village studio.
