Architectural Impressions Drawings
An artist that never travels without a sketchpad, pens and pencils. Italian Artist Giuliana Flavia Cangelosi describes herself as: "Student of Computational Design, Architectural Illustrator,Professional travel sketch and Art Director". I have divided the drawings in this post, in two main sections: black drawings on a white background and white drawings on a black background. I prefer the second one, even though they have less detailing in some of the cases. They are both black and white sketches but, look at the differences, the clarity and extra contrast of the drawing, that is what I really love about them. What do you think? Art from 2018. Manas Bhatia, an Architect and computational designer from India, has been using the potential of the artificial intelligence (AI) tool Midjourney to create surreal architectural concepts. In this project, he imagines a surreal future that has ‘symbiotic’ architectural apartment towers that look like giant hollow redwood trees.

An artist fascinated with the buildings and history that populate our cities and nations. Jerome Tryon, predominately uses Graphite and ink, to fill the pages of his moleskine drawing book, with fantastic sketches plus notes, of the places and buildings he visits. On his Instagram page, he takes the time to explain a little bit more about the history of the building, or/and the experiences that took place whilst sketching in situ (in place / on the spot). Most of the drawings that are in the post, represent his trip to Rome, one of the exceptions is of the Berlin Museum. Enjoy the tour of these historic buildings, courtesy of Tryon. The amount of detailing, coupled with the size of these drawings really make them an impressive feat. British Artist Liam Hipple thrives in the world of the tiny. Urban architectural drawings that in beauty, stand side by side with the real structure. A lot of these drawings are WIP (work in progress), to track the meticulous work of the fineliner and the tireless artists that wields it, are engaged in. Most of the drawings below are in black and white, with one that is transitioning from this to a color one. They are all beautiful, but for different reasons, the first two are my favourite. Have a look at them and see what you think. For more of Hipple's work here on DesignStack, press this LINK. Chartres Cathedral.
