The August 3, 2008 Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance at Rochester, Michigan. This custom bodied Duesenberg was a gift to actor Clark Gable from his beloved wife, actress Carole Lombard. Gable commissioned Bohman and Schwartz to design and fit this unique roadster body to a Duesengerg J chassis, and worked closely with the designer to create a truly unique look. Gable left the car in Canada when his wife died in 1942, with instructions that it never be seen in California while he was still alive.
