World's most expensive cars.
In the 1930s, a wide variety of automobile manufacturers were also offering increasingly sophisticated and beautiful vehicles especially for the fortunate
Duesenberg die-cast model, scale 1/18, by Signature. Another example of classic hood ornaments. Not as grandiose as the first, but still a treat.
Here are a few of the unfortunate Duesenbergs lost to time and human carelessness.
We delved deep into a huge range of automobiles to find the coolest cars of all time. These are the most beautiful classic and modern cars ever made.
Some are the only ones of their kind, others are one of a few, but all are expected to sell for a lot of money.
The next fortnight sees one of the most concentrated periods of auction activity outside Monterey Car Week. The action is spread across two main locations in Scottsdale, Arizona and Paris, France, where the Retromobile Exhibition is held in the city which pioneered auto racing 120 years ago.

Raymay, I'm with you. I think the '37 Chev was one of GM's best designs. I owned and drove a Pontiac powered '37 Chev for more than 16 years. I wish I...
The August 3, 2008 Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance at Rochester, Michigan. This custom bodied Duesenberg was a gift to actor Clark Gable from his beloved wife, actress Carole Lombard. Gable commissioned Bohman and Schwartz to design and fit this unique roadster body to a Duesengerg J chassis, and worked closely with the designer to create a truly unique look. Gable left the car in Canada when his wife died in 1942, with instructions that it never be seen in California while he was still alive.
