Copsychus saularis, Oriental Magpie-robin. Found across most of the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia, they are common birds in urban gardens as well as forests. Although mainly insectivorous, they are known to occasionally take flower nectar, geckos, leeches, centipedes and even fish. They have a good repertoire of melodious calls and are known to imitate other bird calls. The most commonly heard call is a whistle given at dawn. Most often seen singing from a high exposed perch.
