Although some of these vintage kitchen items are now obsolete (or completely unusual), looking back on these antiques makes us feel nostalgic for microwaves without Bluetooth.
In the 19th and most of the 20th century, humankind’s obsession with all things weird and freaky could only be satisfied with a trip to the circus freak show. There, our ancestors could ogle people afflicted with skin conditions, deformities, and eccentricities, and sometimes people who just happened to be from another culture that the […]

Make a stack of cards in no time at all with this quick and easy card layout! We will look at 10 different cards using the same layout but different papers. First, with Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper. This is all you need for supplies: The base card is a quarter sheet (5-1/2' x 4-1/4') of Thick Basic White cardstock. The Designer Series Paper is 7-1/2' x 3-1/2'. Score that at 2-3/4' and fold. Attach that to the card base and decorate with sentiment strip and the accent piece, which can be a circle as shown... or
Hello and welcome to this month's Alaska Achievers Blog Hop. This month we are focusing on the beautiful Share what you Love bundles and you are going to love them all! Here are my projects for you today: Im actually making this card design at one of my classes this week. I just love this embossing folder that is part of the Share what you Love suite. Its called the Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing folder.... and if you've never used a Dynamic Embossing folder you are going to love them! They are super thick to give you a really deep impression in your paper, and that means they also colour up beautifully...as you can see in this card example. I actually used the DE-bossed side of the paper, and brayered over the top with my sponge brayer to give an ombre effect. Simple to do, but so effective! I added a little strip of the co-ordinating DSP into the mix as it is too beautiful not to use! I did use a strip of Fabulous Foil acetate on both cards too - silver on one and gold on the other. The acetate is retiring this month and will no longer be available... so my advice is to get that now too! Its available until May 31st OR until sold out. For the whole month of May these bundles are available to customers. There are 3 different bundles to suit you, depending on your budget. For me of course I couldn't help myself and I got the "Gotta Have it All" bundle (plus I REALLY wanted that DSP!) but check them all out as there is sure to be a bundle to suit you. But here's a fantastic solution for anyone who truly loves a bargain. Why not sign on as a demonstrator for $169 and get the "Gotta Have it all Bundle" as part of your kit? Because when you buy the demonstrator kit for $169 you get $235 worth of products and its your choice what those products are! So if you got the Gotta Have it All bundle you would still have a little left over to choose something else! And with a new Annual Catalogue coming out next month, now is such a good time to join! If you're not convinced that you need these products then click through and see all the fabulous creations here on this blog hop. Because everything matches so beautifully, its so easy to make perfectly co-ordinated and beautiful projects with this suite. I've included a product list of these bundles for you below. To continue the hop, click the name below mine in the list below.... and ENJOY! Linda D Product List Just Getting Started Bundle [149804] $98.75 A Little More, Please Bundle [149808] $159.75 Gotta Have It All Bundle [149812] $222.75 Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate [141653] $21.00

Hello everyone, Anya here today and I am so happy to share a set of cards with you that I created with the stunning Simple Vintage Cottage Fields collection! This is one of my favorite Simple Stories lines and I absolutely love how versatile it is! For today's card set I chose a soft pallet and lots of butterflies. When you get to play with such beautiful colors and patterns, you don't want to cover too much, therefore I decided to keep these cards rather simple. Instead, I wanted to let the beautiful illustrations and embellishments shine on delicate backgrounds. Time passes, fashion changes, but butterflies will always be in style! Today I added butterflies to all four cards, changing the techniques a little in each card: the first card has a butterfly as a finishing touch to the layered cluster of ephemera pieces; second card has a pair of butterflies, and one of them is decorated with a polka dot brad in the center; third card has a layered butterfly, using two butterflies of the same style but in different sizes; and fourth card has a curved line created with a bunch of fussy cut butterflies. I hope I was able to inspire you to add butterflies to the next project you create, and there's no better place to find them than in the Simple Vintage Cottage Fields collection!
