Share news articles with your students in a very engaging, meaningful, and interactive way. Students don’t always have access to the news or don’t choose to read it independently, and by displaying it in the classroom in a very attention grabbing way they will! They’ll be able to read and engage with current events chosen by their teacher, peers, principle, etc. This Bulletin Board Kit has everything you need! *This resource now includes DIGITAL CURRENT EVENTS DISCUSSION SLIDES. WHAT’S INCLUDED: -a how-to setup your bulletin board guide with photos -a how-to guide for printing larger board letters -4 different bulletin board title options -3 font styles of board letters that come in solid black and black outline (perfect to print on colored paper) -5 different board arrows to use as accents that come in solid black or black outline -12 student response cards that can also be printed as sticky notes -sticky note printing guide with photos -sample responses for each student response card -10 full size student response pages that include a group discussion reflection and optional grading rubric -3 styles of student number cards that each come in solid black or black outline (numbers 1-40 included) -editable board directions -Current Events Discussion Slides that can be used with Google Slides ™. This is also available as a separate resource. 3 WAYS TO USE- 1. STUDENT CHOICE- Allow students the opportunity to choose if they want to read the articles in the morning, during stations, or as an early finisher activity. They could read, reflect on a response card, and put it in their numbered pocket. Use the cards to lead class discussions, and if someone hadn’t initially chosen an article they could choose to read it at a later point. 2. READING STATIONS-Select an article for everyone to read for the week. Again, students would respond on the response cards and put it in their numbered pocket. We used the responses to discuss, reflect, and debate! After the discussion they could change their view and explain why. 3. MULTIPLE CLASSES- The News Crew leaders in each class select articles for their peers to read during workstations. Each student will respond on a Google slide from the Current Events Discussion Slides resource now included. We use the slides to drive our class discussions in the same way the student response cards did. ---> You may also like: Be The Change Bulletin Board Kit Best Line Ever Bulletin Board Kit Proof That We're Awesome Bulletin Board Kit Leadership Bulletin Board Kit Editable Show What You Know Bulletin Board Kit
