Embassy Suites Los Angeles - International Airport/North: Reviews from families visiting Embassy Suites Los Angeles - International Airport/North. The Embassy Suites at Los Angeles International Airport is located on Airport Blvd only a couple of minutes from the terminals. Its an easy shuttle ride from the airport or you could take a taxi for a few dollars. We stayed here for one night after traveling on a long over night flight with our infant son. Our flight arrived at LAX after 10PM, and we knew wed be tired because our son doesnt sleep well in airplanes. We decided that the best thing for us to do was to find a good hotel near the airport, so the whole family could sleep and recover from 12 hours of flying before traveling the rest of the way home to San Francisco. Booking a night at the Embassy Suites was a no brainer because we had stayed at other Embassy Suites and knew it would be comfortable and include a buffet breakfast. Also, because of the near proximity to the airport, we wouldnt have to worry about catching our flight home in the morning. WHAT WE LOVED *Two spacious rooms with plenty of area to spread out *Baby cribs available upon request *Buffet breakfast with cooked to order eggs and full layout of fruits, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, french toasts, pastries, breads, cereals, drinks, and other breakfast foods. *Indoor Pool *Wifi in rooms *Business office with printers, computers, and internet access *Fitness Room *Morning Newspaper *Indoor Plaza with comfortable chairs WHAT WE DIDNT LOVE *Noise from the airplanes *Wifi is not free ($12.95 for 24 hours) *Parking is an additional cost ($24 at the time of this review) ROOMS All of the accommodations at Embassy Suites include two rooms and enough space for a family of four or five to sleep comfortably. The bedrooms have large king size beds with four or more pillows and a comforter and are very comfortable. There are one or two night stands, a clock, a flat screen TV, a small table and cushioned chair. The second room has a couch with a pull-out double bed, a coffee table, cushioned chair, lamps, and a dining table with four chairs. An additional twin cot or baby crib is available upon request. There is also a mini-fridge and coffee maker with coffee and tea. The bathroom is average size for a hotel in this price range. BREAKFAST The buffet breakfast is well organized and very good. Drinks include coffee, tea, juice, milk, and water. There are cooked to order eggs where you can create all types of omelets, scrambled eggs, or fried eggs. There is a hot buffet bar and cold buffet bar. The cold buffet is full of fresh fruits, yogurts, and cereals. The hot buffet has pancakes, french toast, potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and oatmeal. We also love the self service waffle maker. There is a toaster and sliced breads, bagels, english muffins, pastries, cream cheese, and jams. Our family loves breakfast, so were in breakfast heaven here. POOL The indoor pool and jacuzzi have plenty of room for large groups, but were barely used during our visit. It was comfortable, but the chlorine smell was a little strong. The room could use better ventilation. LOCATION The hotel is very convenient for flying into or out of LAX or if you need a place to stay when picking somebody up from the airport. Downtown Los Angeles is about 30 minutes away without traffic. Santa Monica is about 30 minutes drive. Disneyland is about 40 minutes without traffic. This hotel is best for airport travelers. BOTTOM LINE This is a great place to stay if you need a place for your family near LAX. Parking is a bit pricey if you have a car, but if your family enjoys breakfast like mine does, the included buffet more than makes up for the cost of parking.
