Special large leather journal adorned with deep embossing and hand tinted leather for the fine collectors among you. Blank book is in 8 x 10 inches large, thickness around 2.8 inches and has 320 leaves (640 pages) of special, thicker, cream toned vintage paper type in 100 gsm paper weight. Though only 100gsm, paper is very quality that can be used with pencil or ink. The inside cover - endpapers are marbled parchment which gives it a nice touch. The gilded and aged paper edges all contribute to that authentic vintage look. Leather stripes adorn the cover placing an intrigue when opening and discovering its beauty. Tree is hand carved from thick leather, hardener with special bookbinder mixtures, gilded and aged. Dover Hall Estate wanted a series of content editorial shoots to help showcase the upper luxury levels of what was possible at their venue. Dover Hall Estate is outside of Richmond Virginia. It has extensive grounds, several guest rooms and unique design features. Many of it's incredible pieces inside were sourced directly from Europe when it was built. There is not a venue to match it in the area. When I designed this project I knew it needed details that matched the level of this venue. Right down to the table decor with all its breads, fruits and platters. "Working with Kristin to produce two massive, high-end shoots at Dover Hall Estate, was such a highlight of 2020!
