Identifying emotions can be easier said than done, but it can be an important part of understanding and monitoring mental illness.

With my background in psychology, I've test-driven this and other versions of this feelings chart with my own kids and neighborhood children for years. I can report that starting around age 3 kids are able to identify nearly all the emotions without parental help (and a few with help). I'm proud that these drawings feature clear facial expressions and body language to help children know what these big feelings look like and differentiate them from one another.
