While on a boat trip in search of Sea Otters we chanced upon a Cougar swimming between some small islands where it had been presumably trying to catch Harbour Seals. It swam just a few feet in front of the boat before climbing out, staring at us for a few seconds, then bounding off into the trees. Could not believe our luck, not just seeing a Cougar in the wild, but managing to photograph it too. This photograph appeared in the January 2012 edition of BBC Wildlife Magazine.
