Hello Everyone :) I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today I'm excited to finally introduce you to the fabulous new addition to my life... my [personal] pink Domino by Filofax. I adore her... and she loves to help me stay organized! I'll be sharing more of her this coming week here on my blog, so I won't go into too much detail... I've had her for about three weeks now, so today I wanted to show you the layouts from my recently completed pages. You'll notice that I use a color-coded system. For the decade I've been using personal paper planners, I saw that this type of system is what I gravitated towards over the years... because it works for me. So it only made sense to apply it in my Filofax. Filofax Love: Week 29 I spent the first few weeks customizing my Filofax to fit my style and to make it more "me." [You will see more about that in a future post.] Week 29 was my very first week in my new planner. I had lots of fun decorating the pages with new washi tape, cute stickers, and journaling using pens that correspond with my color codes. Filofax Love: Week 30 I was already starting to develop a preference for the way my notes were laid out on the pages in each of the "daily" sections. I do a lot of journaling and jotting of details, so I don't embellish the pages too much beforehand [just washi at the top and bottom of each page]. I want to be sure that I have enough room for the specifics of each day. The end of the week is when I go ahead and add my stickers and/or doodles, filling in some of the blank areas. Filofax Love: Week 31 Week 31 is my most recent completed week. I started out with some fun, kawaii washi tape on the top and bottom of my "Week on Two Pages" inserts. [I'll be sharing where I found these later this week.] I had a pretty busy week, so I stuck with my color coding to keep me on track. I added some doodles, stickers, and sticky tabs and flags. Planning For A New Week in My Filofax Here you can see what is going on in my Filofax right now as I plan for the upcoming week. I use all kinds of fun stuff in addition to my Filofax to help me stay organized. I can't wait to show you how I've customized and personalized this little baby! Filofax Love: A Peek into My Color-Coded Life Well that's all I have for you today. Be sure to stay tuned because I'll be sharing the inside of my personal pink Domino with you here later this week. You'll see my personalized inserts, dividers, the supplies I use, my "sections" showing how I use my Filofax to stay organized, recent hauls from my favorite stores to buy Filo supplies... lots of good stuff! [NOW LIVE: Inside My Domino | Part 1] To stay updated on my recent posts, projects, and photos, you can follow me on instagram, or "like" my new fan page on Facebook. I also made a new pinboard on Pinterest called "Filofax Addict," where I add inspiration, printables, DIY's, tips, or supplies I discover during my new adventure. So why not head over there now to show some love.... How are you staying organized in 2013? Are you a Filofax Addict too? Any thoughts, questions, or comments about this post? Please let me know. Your feedback is always welcome and much appreciated! Thank you for stopping by!
So taking up from where we left off last week.... I am using dodo pad inserts in my filofax. This is a photo of how the week is set out. It is a grid format like a school timetable. The sections along the top of the grid are blank so you can label them yourself. Mine are Notes, Am, Pm, Hubby and Kids. The clear layout for the week means I can see where all of us are supposed to be easily. I use the Notes column for birthdays, holidays and anniversaries etc. Am and Pm are for my day and any appointments to do with our home and Hubby and Kids help me keep track of their week too. Another thing I love about Dodo Pads is that each week has a different theme and there are funny little drawings and quotes to entertain you on the page opposite the weekly diary while giving you plenty of space to make notes or to doodle. The stickers I have used in this photo are also from JapanCorner, they say Birthday, Travel, Happy, Eat and Shopping and some are blank so you can write your own underneath the cute girl characters. As I said last week I am also using the diary that came with my filofax. The Dodo Pad tells me our family's week at a glance and then I use this diary to go into more detail. There is enough room to do this in the Dodo Pad but I thought I may as well use this diary too as it is a bit of a waste not to. It is a simple week over two pages set up but I am enjoying using it as I have been decorating it with stamps and washi tape. This is a close up of my favourite stamp, it is a Russian doll and I am a bit obsessed with them. My friend brought me an umbrella with them all over it for Christmas and now when it rains I'm happy because I get to use it. I also got some hand warmers made with Russian doll fabric from my sister inlaw so I guess people know my secret! At the back of my filofax I have a large pocket that is full of stickers and the care instructions for my dividers. Lastly this is my pen, I got it from ebay as I thought it went well with everything else in my organiser. It says on it "If we do a green thing, the earth can be better!" and while I can argue with the grammar I can't with the logic!
Don't panic; the year is not almost over. But I am aware that some folk like to plan way ahead. If you are one of those people and you use an A4 or A5 format, you might want to look at these diary/calendar layouts, which are free to download and print yourself at home. These are the result of a collaboration between me and Steve Morton of Philofaxy and you can find the files there also. But you don't need to have a Filofax or any other organiser to make use of these. A4 and A5 binders are widely available and there's no reason why you can't combine one of those with these pages and have a complete DIY solution. Although you'll still find the source files on this site to produce your own diary sets for any year (or any shorter period) people seem to like the convenience of downloading full year sets. Here are A4 or A5 sets for 2018. Pocket and Personal sets will follow. Day per page Original day per page: Word file PDF file Day per page minimalist (narrow ruled): Word file PDF file Day per page minimalist (wide ruled): Word file PDF file Day on two pages Original day on two pages: Word file PDF file Daily Dashboard: Word File PDF file Two days per page Two days per page (ruled): Word file PDF file Two days per page (unruled): Word file PDF file Week per page Original week per page: Word file PDF file Week per page with tasks: Word file PDF file Week per page CC-inspired: Word file PDF file Week on two pages Week on two pages enhanced TM layout (4 line ruling): Word file PDF file Week on two pages enhanced TM layout (5 line ruling): Word file PDF file Week on two pages journal layout (ruled): Word file PDF file Week on two pages journal layout (unruled): Word file PDF file Week on two pages new TM/journal layout (4 line ruling): Word file PDF file Week on two pages new TM/journal layout (5 line ruling): Word file PDF file Week on two pages CC-inspired layout: Word file PDF file Week on two pages vertical layout: Word file PDF file Week on two pages minimalist vertical layout: Word file PDF file Month per page Original month per page: Word file PDF file Month per page with notes: Word file PDF file Month on two pages Original month on two pages: Word file PDF file Month on two pages with notes: Word file PDF file Year planner Original year planner: Word file PDF file A5 Z-fold year planner: Word file PDF file Each version is set up as an A4 document. To use them as A5 inserts, print the document in booklet mode on A4 paper, then use a guillotine to divide each sheet into two and punch the required holes, which the templates are set up with mirrored gutters to accommodate. Or, if you have A5 paper, then either the printer or the PC will scale it to size for you.

Another Trend Discovered via Instagram To view more pretty & creative posts - just click here. Last week I shared my penpal finds and this week I want to kick off by sharing another one of these random, but cool discoveries. I love organising and I love stationery and the huge Filofax trend encompasses both those things. This is serious business, there are YouTube channels dedicated to Filofax love, Pinterest boards and many, many blogs too. I discovered this trend via Instagram, but once I started exploring and looking into it further, I found that it really is a huge industry! Creatives share their special pages, weekly plans and detailed layouts online. I love it! What amazes me is the amount of stationery that these lucky girls have, as well as a range of different Filofaxes! To view more pretty & creative posts - just click here. Did you see my big news over the weekend? I was asked to review the gorgeous Willow by Filofax! If you missed it you can read it here. I moved into it as soon as I had finished taking all the photos I needed for the review and it goes so nicely with my pink and mint theme this week. My week in my Filofax #12 It was officially the first day of spring on Thursday so I wanted to do something pretty to celebrate that. I am so happy winter is over! I really am looking forward to spending time outside in the sunshine, I feel like I have been such a homebody while it was so cold. Close up Close up Most of my week was dedicated to the review. I spent Thursday and Friday taking lots and lots of photos in different light conditions and with my two cameras until I was happy with the shots. Saturday was dedicated to writing the post and double checking, triple checking, quadruple.... you get the idea.... before I published it on Sunday. It was a lot of fun to do and it was great to have so many positive comments on it yesterday. All moved into the Willow Filofax Thanks for reading!
If you're in North America, without access to A4 paper but with plentiful stocks of Letter paper, you'll probably be keen to download and print these generic note pages for your Personal size Filofax. There's a choice of three for you: lined paper, grid paper or dot grid paper. My lined paper is a little different from the standard Filofax version. Here are the two side by side so you can more closely compare them - mine is on the left, with the standard Filofax page on the right. In my version, there's less space at the very top and the lines are more widely spaced. Download as a Word file or as a PDF file. Here is the grid paper: Download as a Word file or as a PDF file. And here is the dot grid: Download as a Word file or as a PDF file. I'm sure you can find hundreds of uses for each of these. Print them double-sided. If you have a duplex printer, set it to flip on the short edge. If you don't then you'll have to print odd-numbered pages and then refeed to print the even-numbered pages on the reverse. You might have to experiment to find out how to refeed the paper. On one side of each sheet you'll find crop marks. Use a craft knife and a steel ruler to release the Personal pages and punch them. The templates are set up with mirrored gutters to accommodate the holes. If using the PDF be sure to set it to print at full size as explained here.

WITH 3X5--I use my 3x5 cards as to do lists in between the current week by punching holes in them and then slicing the holes so that I am able to pull out and place between a new week. I got this idea from someone on this site.

Greetings humans! Today I thought I'd share with you how I organise the supplies I use in my Filofax. Even though this isn't a Filo-specific blog, I decided not to show you my folders/refill pads/pens because they're on shelves/in pen pots respectively and I don't do anything spectacular with those. These supplies, however, are in boxes and stretchy folder things (there I go with those technical terms again), which are infinitely more exciting than shelves, right? This is the main box in which I keep my bits and bobs - I believe it was bought in a pack of many from Costco. A couple of weeks ago, it was almost empty...and now it's almost full. Oops? Here's the inside. As you can see, some items are stored loosely, and some are stored in more boxes. Regardless of anything, it's all packed in some kind of warped, 3D, stationery tetris. The loose items include packs of sticky notes and to-do lists, craft papers (for making dividers) and some magnetic bookmarks. One of the first storage containers that I use is this Cath Kidston tin. Inside, I keep some mini paper tapes from Paperchase and fashion paperclips from Wilkinson and Tiger. Then, I have this Really Useful Box. In here are sticky notes, stickers and mini-notepads, sourced from a variety of stores. I used to use a couple of these to store my pens (until my collection went out of control) and they're stackable, which is handy for saving desk space. Another Box! This was bought in a pack of three from Family Bargains (think 99p stores, Poundland etc), and the lid barely stays on, which is not ideal, even though it sits in a box most of the time. Here are just sticky notes, memo pads and notelets (which I got from The Range's clearance isle - always worth a check). I also use Filofaxes and other ring-bound organisers to store stuff. I bought a first edition Flex from Homsense for £7.99 in which I keep stickers and a record of the washi tape I have. In my Paperchase organiser I keep spare inserts, since it was starting to get a bit worn and I don't want it to break with constant use! Now, not everything fits in my Pink Box of Wonder. I keep sticker sheets and washi tape in separate containers. Tape! This is a box, about half the size of a shoebox, which I was given for my birthday (it's from Tiger). I just put a bit of washi on the lid to let me know what was in it, just in case I forget(?!) This is an expanding sticker folder. An expanding folder for my stickers. (Really not much else to say, right?) There is the potential to customise the tabs, but my sticker supply is in constant rotation so it would probably be a waste of time. I hope you found this post vaguely interesting, and that it may have given you some inspiration as to how to store anything paper-y.
