This old firehall, which appears to still be in use as such, can be found just off Meaford's main steeet (HWY #26). The building, which I would guess dates to the late 1800s, is well preserved and a credit to the community. The tower served two purposes in its day. It housed the bell which would have sounded the fire alarm, and gave them a place to hang the canvas fire hoses to dry. October 29,2005

The long and short of it, this building means more than bricks and mortar to a lot of people. It's more than a restaurant. As the Fenton Fire Hall Taproom and Kitchen, we’re out to respect the building at every turn and deliver the kind of grub that is as honest as the building its served in. Woodfired grill. Legendary Mac & Cheese. And all the care that the Union Joints family can put into a place. It is our honor to serve.
