Wonderful carved two drawer Louis XV French Provincial carved commode by Weiman. Beautifully detailed carvings. We have redone this piece in our signature Provence finish. Layers of blue, white, and gray are built up with texture added. The layers are then Hand scraped to reveal the different layers, and allow some of the wood to show through. The carved details are then painstakingly hand done in French gold. Finally an antique glaze is applied, as well as a topcoat finish to the top. less

This makeover was one of the biggest/longest projects I've completed yet. The dresser is 7' long! I did four coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White and sealed it with Annie Sloan clear wax. I love the way it turned out!! Beautiful curves on this one!! I did some distressing on all the high points of this piece. I forgot to take before pictures with nothing on the dresser.
