Fused glass angel wings ornament
In our newest class you will create geometric patterns using thin strips of glass called stringers and small thick squares of clear glass. The construction of stringers along with the placement of the thick small glass squares will create a spectacular bowl. This is all done with help from the extreme heat of our glass kiln. You'll see your design transform into patterns with flowing designs and a striking optical look that has form and depth. Truly a beautiful one of a kind art project. My fused glass artwork is made from pieces of Oceanside 96 Art Glass. I design with pencil, then refine in digital. Each piece is cut from larger sheets of stained glass, then ground, fitted, & fused together in a kiln. The shape is then perfected, and it's fused again, and when needed, slumped over a mould.

Another kiln build 😊 🏁 This Chequer glass artwork was a commission, now in its final home in the USA. Each piece of art glass is carefully positioned in the kiln - like a giant glass jigsaw. The pieces are then fused together with a clear disc on top, creating a single large round glass circle. I do love this Chequer theme ...
