Paris 2024 is breaking new ground by reinventing the pictogram, creating a badge of honour that represents not only a sporting discipline, but also a family, a sense of pride, a set of values and a community. This badge of honour is a symbol of community, an emblem, a banner of unity. It is waved proudly, carried from place to place and worn with pride, symbolising the wearer’s belonging to their chosen sporting family. No longer just functional, the pictogram has become emotional, a sign of affinity with a great and beautiful sporting community. Each Paris 2024 pictograms is composed of three graphical elements: an axis of symmetry, a depiction of the ground and a representation of the sport that it illustrates. Of course, being French, it is full of style and elegance! Art and sport are merged into one.
