The world seems locked and loaded. Let us work together to be kind to one another, pray for peace this year.

We move from Winter to Spring, often a blustery time alternating between cold...and warm.; here is an art print for this transition.
“…I don’t need to offer any advice, here. We know it in our bones, don’t we?”
Leaves are everywhere. I rake. Then, I rake some more. Then, some more. Still, I am way behind. Is the woodpile stacked, yet? No. Are the storm windows in place? No. Are the snow shovels out and ready to go? No. Are the winter bird-feeders clean, stored with nuts, and hung? No. So I have a lot to do in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, the world seems to descend a bit more each day into an abyss. Our President is headed to Israel, tomorrow. The Ukraine war is a tragedy. The Israeli/Hamas conflict is a second tragedy. China contemplates an attack on Taiwan, certainly another, waiting to explode. Our economy struggles along, with furnaces coming on across the country, the cost of a barrel of oil unsteady and high-- we're told will go much higher. The costs of getting by month-to-month causing millions severe anxiety. And yet, millions of us live with a continuing sense of HOPE, as do I. Rationale or irrational, call it what you will. I remain hopeful. In this spirit, here is my print offering in mid-October 2023. "Dorset, Vermont Fall Vision."

Welcome to the Garden Season, as exemplified by my Rhododendron print...depicting the plant in full bloom, as it is right now.
As you perhaps have read, this blog site is to be updated here in the New Year every two weeks. So far, so good! Here is "Working Stiff 2," from a very short series of acrylic paintings on masonite at a scale of 5" square. This is among my favorite series, one I intend to expand, this year. Perhaps you may see a large canvas, 3 feet, or 6 feet square on the same topic...before too long. The original series consists only of a few images, seen here. Who could imagine that such a banal activity as plunking keys on a keyboard before a computer screen could possibly define the activities of most of us each and every day, and for many, night? All over the world? If I were to have just arrived on planet Earth, and looked around, I might quickly come to the conclusion that something is out-of-whack, here.
In the aftermath of the most recent remembrance of 9.11.01, here is a poster worthy of the moment, 2021.

Been a long, long time since I donned my first fleece in anticipation of the 2022-23 winter season. And it is still a long season, even today...amidst unusually cool and rainy conditions. I still wear my fleece, here in May. But the beach season is just about arrived, not quite. And we intend to relish it when it arrives. Why just this week, we've taken several trips to the beach to walk our dog and ourselves, and of course, on sunny, cool days the water glistens and our dispositions are lifted. Here is a small original image, acrylic on masonite board, from which I offer digital prints. The scene is a favorite of mine, the depiction of a view out over the water as you enter Ocean Drive, Newport, Rhode Island. If you've driven this curvy route, you will likely know the stretch of road that affords you this view. Other such images of Newport are seen, here.
