Lesley Green is a Brooklyn-based artist who pushes the limits of stained glass and glass tile art. Her projects are heavily influenced by nature and architecture, so this cactus series is one of the best examples of her magnificent work.
About The flame vase is a large and heavy handblown sculptural glass vase, created using auburn, pink, orange and clear glass trails on the surface. Blown by British master blower Simon Moore for Nigel Coates. A unique vase and statement piece. Nigel Coates as consistently challenged the meaning of architecture and the object. His mission is to bring equal parts of art and intelligence to architecture and design; whatever the space or the object, Coates will fill it with passion, irony and instinct. After training at the Architectural Association, soon Coates became an original design force, with many of his ideas drawn from the ‘confusion and excitement’ of urban life. His inventive narratives have translated into many buildings, interiors and exhibitions around the world, particularly in Japan and the UK. More experimental work has been shown in an art and design context, including Ecstacity at the Architecture Association (1992), Mixtacity at Tate Modern (2007), Hypnerotosphere at the 2008 Venice Architecture Biennale, and Picaresque at the Triennale Design Museum (2012). He is much in demand as a designer of lighting and furniture, collaborating with many Italian companies including Alessi, Ceramica Bardelli, Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, Fornasetti, Fratelli Boffi, Glamora, L’Abbate, Poltronova, Richard Ginori, Slamp, Terzani and Varaschin. Examples of his work are held in several museum collections including the V&A in London and FRAC in Orléans. His book ‘Guide to Ecstacity’ was published by Laurence King in 2003 and his latest, ‘Narrative Architecture’, was published by Wiley in 2012. He is also a leading light at the new London School of Architecture.

This steampunk lamp, created from antiquarian things, found by me in different places and old appliances. By making a purchase you agree that the goods will be manufactured within approximately 21-30 working days from the date of purchase. You also need to understand that it will be slightly different from what you see in the photo since this is a handmade. Under this glass dome are vintage radio tubes illuminated by LEDs and other illuminated curious artifacts. All lights are controlled by a switch installed on the power cable to the lamp. Outside the glass dome on the lamp base, a switch / dimmer is mounted to adjust the light of a tubular vintage bulb. The voltmeter starts working when you turn on the LED lights, and also it has its own switch. When you turn on the LEDs, they change color slowly. All you see are real materials (brass, copper, glass) that have been carefully cleaned and polished. This lamp and all my other lamps are designed and created in my workshop in Greece in Athens, using certified electrical parts such as Legrand, MeanWell, Nichia, and others. More information about me, my company, and what I do in my workshop, you can find out in social: Youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwzpraxiLapi_cbDAi5ZDRw Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Banjo.Show Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/banjo.show Dimensions: Height - 34 cm / 13.38 inch Width - 21 cm / 8.26 inch (base) and 16 cm / 6.29 inch (glass dome) Weight - 2.46 kg / 5.423 lb. Power Cord Length - 2 m / 78.74 inch The lamp works from the box, you don't need to buy anything else, you get everything you need to create an incredible light atmosphere in your home. Also, if you need a purchase receipt or invoice, (for example, for your business in Europe), let me know and I will definitely do it for you. All over the glass dome light bulbs, wires, power cables are not connected! It is an illusion and it is not dangerous to touch. All wiring is safely hidden at the base of the lamp. Old antique details illuminated in different colors, incredible atmosphere in the dark. No paint, No plastic, Only genuine and vintage parts. If you need other and larger photos of this lamp in order to take a closer look at all the details, I will be happy to show them to you. German glass artist Heike Brachlow finds inspiration in architecture and geometry, creating cast glass sculptures that rely heavily on their shape, which is often that of a cylinder or cube. Works in her Theme and Variation series seem to impossibly balance as they subtly curve upwards, individual cubes colored with the same mixture of oxides at increasing amounts. Her pink work, seen below, contains neodymium oxide which causes it to change color in different lights, shifting from a pink to green hue depending on which light the glass sculpture is displayed under. Glass artist K. William LeQuier’s glass work is inspired by the drama of the natural world and its everyday events. His sculptures reflect this inspiration by mimicking the natural movements of the sea and its creatures. Each sculpture is held steady by a simple black armature, a hint to the artist’s hand involved in the creation of each glass sculpture. After years of blowing glass vessels, LeQuier moved to the sandblasting process where he learned he could generate textures similar to natural erosion. More
