Many times parents or teachers come to me concerned about their child's speech, but do not know if they should be. I came across this chart on the Mommy Speech Therapy blog, that is easy to read and parent friendly. These norms are based on the Goldman Fristoe Test of Articulation. I keep this up in my room and handy to give to teachers and or parents with speech concerns.
Articulation bookmarks are a great way to promote carryover into the classroom and home! This packet features 23 pages - One bookmark for each of the sounds listed. Assembly is easy - Simply print on heavy paper, cut and glue the sides together. Cut down on prep time by having the kids do this in therapy! On the front of each bookmark is a helpful picture of the mouth, a picture and phrase to remember the sound (e.g., "f" is the noisy fan sound!"), placement tips, and a chart of 100 boxes for the teacher/parent to "catch" good sounds. On the reverse are lines to write down words with the sound, and the message, "Bring your completed bookmark back to your SLP for a speech room prize!" These bookmarks pair wonderfully with my articulation handouts and visual cue cards: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Articulation-Handout-Bundle-B-P-M-W-Y-N-H-F-V-T-D-K-G-L-NG-TH-R-CH-J-SH-ZH-S-Z-1863502 https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Articulation-Cue-Cards-1973414?aref=y8yjt635

Ever need a way to help increase your student's ability to make sounds at the syllable level? I have several students on my caseload that struggle to move beyond making the sound in isolation. I made these webs and they have been an incredibly useful tool in showing my students HOW to make their sounds in CV and VC syllables. →To use, decide if you want to target CV or VC syllables. If targeting CV syllables, start from the inner green circle. Have the child make the sound in isolation. Then, show them how to drag their finger from the inner circle to one of the vowel circles. To work on VC syllables, start in an outer vowel circle and move inwards. In the bottom left corner of each page is a picture to help cue your child to produce the correct sound. For example, a ball is shown on the /b/ page (i.e., buh buh buh for bouncing) and a dog is shown on the /h/ page (i.e., huh huh huh for a panting dog). A table of all of these child-friendly cues is included as well! Included is a visual for the following speech sounds: b, p, m, h, w, y, d, n, t, k, f, g, j, sh, ch, l, v, r, s, z, and th. Additionally, I included 1 blank sheet in case you want to customize it with other sounds! I updated this packet to include three different versions for each consonant sound: the original version, a long vowel sounds version, and a short vowel sounds version. Magnify It! CVC Words Words beginning with: S, R, L, F, P Use a Magnifying Glass to Find the Hidden Words *Note: This resource was a special request by my wonderful SLP friend. The pictures in this resource are the same pictures that were used in my Magnify It! First Grade High Frequency Sight Words resource, but she provided me with a new set of words (see below) for her young speech therapy students. My students love using magnifying glasses to find words that are hidden in these pictures. Each printable in this download contains 10 CVC words that are hidden in a cute picture. The students are asked to use magnifying glasses to locate the words and record them on the primary lines provided. (I like to have my students use each word in a sentence.) The students are then reminded to color the picture. (Each hidden word is written using 5-6 pt. Comic Sans font.) There are 5 student pages included in this resource. These printables include the following words: List 1: Words that begin with S (sit, sip, six, sat, sap, sob, sun, sad, set, sag) List 2: Words that begin with R (rug, rag, rim, run, rat, rip, rig, ran, red, rot) List 3: Words that begin with L (leg, log, lag, lap, lip, lid, lug, let, led, lad) List 4: Words that begin with F (fan, fun, fin, fat, fit, fib, fox, fad, fig, fix) List 5: Words that begin with P (pig, pan, pod, pug, pit, pat, put, pet, pin, pen) Answer Keys are included. So grab some magnifying glasses and have some fun! You may also like: Magnify It! Pre-Primer Sight Words Magnify It! PRIMER Words Magnify It! Practice identifying the attributes of what, quantity, and color, while working on beginning writing skills and sentences structure. Student will match the corresponding pictures to answer the questions - What? How Many? What Color? While simultaneously writing an I see sentence. (Ex: I see 6 blue crayons.) This is a great way to have students work on answering questions, especially for students with minimal verbal skills, as well as getting students to use proper sentence structure. Allow them to enjoy reading, from the start with these fun/ interactive adaptive books. The student can either read the sentence strip at the bottom of the page, or use the adaptable pieces to match the corresponding pictures to create a sentence. (Ex: I see a pear.) 51 CVCV Spanish apraxia or articulation flashcards. This resource was designed for Spanish-dominant students with severe to profound apraxia. All 51 targets were selected using consonant stop sounds: /p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /k/ and /g/, and are presented with two CV syllable dots below the pictures representing each target word. Targets were selected for consistency in following the CVCV pattern with accent on the initial syllable and do not contain nasals (i.e., /m/, /n/, "ñ"), fricatives (i.e., /f/, /s/, /x/), the /l/ sound, the tap or trill /r/ sounds, or the affricate "ch" sound. Please note, I included words with /b/, /d/, and /g/ in the consonant position of the second syllable even though the allophone for these phonemes would be produced closer to a voiced approximate (for /b/ and /g/) or fricative (for /d/) when produced intervocalically because my students with severe to profound apraxia need syllable work and including these words increases the total number of targets we can practice. Print in color and laminate for durability. Multiple sets of cards can be combined to incorporate into additional motor speech planning activities to practice sequencing sounds in syllables across familiar words.

Minimal pairs between phonemes "L" and pre-vocalic "R" for phonological or other speech therapy treatment. Great for accent reduction practice as well! 36 cards in all! Download a FREE sample of my work on these card strips for "P" and "B": https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/FREE-Card-Strips-Minimal-Pairs-P-B-speech-therapy-articulation-8574187 Print and cut out each strip. Laminate for durability. Punch a hole in the top left corner of each strip and connect on a ring to keep them all together, if desired. I love articulation worksheets with lots of pairs on each page - we can use bingo or magnetic chips, randomly select 10 words to correctly articulate 3x each, fold the paper and target half the page at once, etc. But some kiddos get overwhelmed with an entire page of words and so these strips are better! As with all my resources, I aim for a functional and simplistic (yet cute) design to reduce the visual clutter.
