on the left you see a finished sketched bird on the right you see the parts that make up the bird I've added notes to label the parts... Part 1 is your bird wing (piece1) and parts of the body (pieces 2&3) Piece 4 is your background Part 2 is your bird body (piece 1) and background (piece2) Part 3 is background (piece 1) and birdy beak (piece 2) Part 4 is birdy legs (pieces 1&3) and background (pieces 2,4,5) Part 5 is a background strip By changing the length and width of each basic shape changes the shape of your bird. You can have skinny tall birds or short plump birds depending on the size pieces you use. I use graph paper a lot to sketch ideas and gauge size of pieces to cut. I made 4 birds for Tine's row and each one came out differently. To make a bird facing the other day you would cut your pieces backwards. I'm sure you'll figure it out! :) And if you really really really want a step by step process showing each of the parts I can do that.
