I had fun with my first Black & White geometric abstract, so I wanted to do another. However, allow me to share some thoughts on orientation: i.e. landscape or portrait. Personally, on redbubble or, frankly, any other art website, I prefer the landscape, or short and wide orientation, simply because you can see more picture area in the large view because most computer screens are also that orientation. This is why I think the majority of my own RB portfolio is in landscape mode. But, for art on my walls, I prefer the up and down, or so called portrait orientation because this allows me to display several pictures side by side on the same wall, whereas the fat wide ones hog too much wall space. This has been weighing fairly heavily on my mind the past few days and was actually the driving factor in my creating a second black and white or, in this case, white and black geometric abstract, because the first one was done in landscape, in my selfish desire to give it better visibility on a (rectangular) computer screen. As far as the title is concerned, we know that all squares are rectangles. Every school kid knows that, or they should. But how many of us ever stop to think that just because a shape has four right angles doesn't make it square? This is making my brain tired, so I'm going to bed now.
