Hi everyone, I am still working my way through the Subtles 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment. These cards use the 4 sheets of Highland Heather patterned paper. I cut the Designer Series Paper into 7.5cm strips, you will get two strips. I then cut each strip in to 7.5cm x 11.8cm and 7.5 x 3.4cm pieces. You will get 8 cards from the 4 sheets of patterned paper with only a very small slither waste. The floral image is from the stamp sets Hand-Penned Petals which was stamped with Black Memento, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Old Olive ink. The sentiments are from Celebrating You and Peaceful Moments stamp sets, I made 4 Mother's Day cards and 4 Happy Birthday cards. To finish the cards some of the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds in the Fresh Freesia were added. I hope you enjoyed this set of card. If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online or Contact Me and place an order. SHOP WITH ME! Thank you for visiting. Good morning!! Last evening for my weekly Facebook Live presentation, I created these three projects using the Hand-Penned Bundle. If you missed the presentation, you can watch the replay here!! The first card has a little twist using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I used Water Painters to color in the image. The second card has a simple sentiment and I let the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper do the work for me on this card. I love how the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon works so well with this Designer Series

This stamp set has some images that look delicate and rich and lends itself to a variety of techniques. For this card, I used watercolor paper, ink pads and water brushes to create this art piece. The colours I used were pulled from the DSP. After embossing the image with Black embossing powder, it was coloured with the following colours: Highland Heather with shading done with Gorgeous Grape; Daffodil Delight with shading done with Bumblebee; Just Jade. The background wash is done with Pool Party. The sentiment was stamped using Black Memento ink on the lower right. The completed image was die cut with the new Scallop Contour Dies and added to the card front using dimensionals. The card base is Gorgeous Grape layered with Basic White embossed with the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder. A strip of Hand-Penned DSP was added to the left side. Some Gorgeous Grape organza ribbon was added in the center of this DSP. Supplies Used: Stamp: Hand-Penned Petals Inks: Black Memento, Versa Mark, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Bumblebee, Just Jade, Basic Black, Pool Party Papers: Water color, Basic White, Hand-Penned DSP, Gorgeous Grape Accessories: Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder, Black embossing powder. Water color brush, Stickles glitter (purple, black), Pastel Pearls, Scallop Contour dies, 1/4" Gorgeous Grape organza ribbon.
A get well card that should make anyone feel better. I used the new Hand-Penned Petals Bundle to create this beautiful card. The bundle includes the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set and the Penned Flowers Dies. This is a two-step stamp set so I stamped the outline flower in Black Memento Ink and stamped the inside flowers in Blushing Bride Ink and the leaves in Crumb Cake Ink. I love the font on the "feel better friend" sentiment which is also included in the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set. Details: White Cardstock card base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" Blushing Bride 6x6 Designer Series Paper: 5 1/2" x 2", scallop cut using Penned Flowers Dies Accented with Linen Thread and Champagne Rhinestones
I stamped and diecut a bunch of these flowers and was playing with it and decided to use two with a banner inbetween and what a sweet card it made. Basecard is thick white ( I abhor flimsy base so I am exclusively using thick cardstock for the base with a layer of fresh freesia. then a layer of scallops contour diecut in white. Two flowers cut and colored with mango, freesia, balmy blue and granny apple green - popped with dimensional. The sentiment is from Art Gallery pulled a little to fit in the banner from the Floral Heart diecut and pearls to add some sparkle. Easy peasy but SO Pretty!
Flowers! I own so many stamps with flower images. How about you? The only thing hard about this Global Design Project challenge was deciding which flower to use! Stamp set: Hand Penned Petals. Play along. Use any flower image and create a project. Easy peasy. Tag your project with #gdp303

Smoky Slate with Hand Penned Petals Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the 47th Colour Creations Showcase by members of the Art with Heart Team. After tonight, we have 3 colours plus the new In Colours to complete our showcase of Stampin' Up!s amazing collection of colours. This week we are showcasing a versatile colour, Smoky Slate. It is a light grey and as one of the Neutrals Colour Family, it is able to be used with so many other colours and in various ways. I love grey with pink so have chosen this as my colour combination to showcase Smoky Slate. Smoky Slate has been produced in Stampin' Up!'s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads & re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Stampin' Blends, Designer Series Paper including the In Good Taste DSP; and the new Smoky Slate Textured Ribbon. As I was planning for tonight's blog hop, I wanted to use one of the new bundles from the newly launched 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. I so love the sketchy nature of the Hand Penned Petals stamp set and the coordinating dies are delightful. I also wanted to use one of the Scalloped Contour dies as I wasn't pleased with the project I blogged last week and felt I hadn't shown these dies well - I wanted to redress it this week. Having made a start, I separately watched a replay of Emma Goddard's Sunday night Facebook live. One of Emma's layouts was similar to what I had in mind. I'd like to say "great minds think alike" however, I don't put myself in Emma's league. I did think of changing tack but my week has gone somewhat haywire and time was limited so decided to CASE a couple of other elements of Emma's card by adding some blending and stamping to the background as well as the positioning of the ribbon. Thanks Emma for your inspiration. You are amazing. As mentioned, to create the background for the card front some Soft Succulent Classic Stampin' ink was applied with a Blending Brush to the centre of a piece of Basic White card-stock. A little stamping also was added using stamped-off Soft Succulent Classic Stampin' ink. This panel was then dry embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. At the same time the top Basic White panel was similarly embossed. The Basic White background panel was adhered to the Smoky Slate card base. A mid size Scalloped Contour die was used to cut a Smoky Slate panel. The slightly smaller embossed white panel was adhered directly to the scalloped contour panel. The floral spray from the Hand Penned Petals stamp set was stamped twice onto Basic White card-stock in Smoky Slate Classic Stampin ink. The stamped floral sprays were coloured with Stampin' Up!s amazing Stampin' Blends. The colours used were: Smoky Slate, Soft Succulent & Petal Pink combos and a touch of Light Polished Pink. I am delighted that all of the new In Colours have coordinating Stampin' Blends - I can see more colouring in the future. The 3 larger flowers were fussy cut from one spray while the other floral spray was cut out using the coordinating die. The 3 larger flowers were hand shaped and adhered to the full spray, with a little glue at the centre. A piece of gorgeous Soft Succulent Open Weave ribbon was tied around the centre panel ending in a bow. Then the coloured flower spray was adhered on top with Dimensionals. The whole panel was added to the centre of the card background with Dimensionals. To finish the card front design a sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Smoky Slate ink onto a scrap of Basic White card-stock. It was fussy cut into 2 pieces and adhered with a mix of tiny pieces of Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue. My fingers felt HUGE as I tried to layer tiny pieces of Dimensionals - looking at the sentiment I had chosen I had to keep saying to myself "anything is possible"! Some In Colour Soft Succulent Jewels were the finishing touch. These jewels are amazing. To create the card inner, the floral spray was stamped in the corner in Smoky Slate ink and a little Soft Succulent ink was lightly blended at the edges. The C6 Basic White Envelope was decorated in the same way. Thank you so much for visiting Valley Inspirations with Andrea. I loved creating this card to share with you. I hope you like it too. As mentioned, Stampin' Up's 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue was launched this week. If you are in Australia and don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and you would like your own copy of the Catalogue then let me know and I will be delighted to send one to you. Catherine Proctor is our delightful host of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Showcase. If you haven't finished visiting all of the team's colour creations, you can visit/revisit Catherine's page at What Cathy Made, where she hosts the links to the participating blogs so you can find everyone's Smoky Slate creations. Checking out everyone's creations and their interpretation of the amazing Stampin' Up! colours is always a treat and I am sure there will be inspiring Smoky Slate projects on show. I hope to see you again next week when members of the team share projects that hero So Saffron from the SU Subtles Colour family. Stay well, stay safe and be kind to yourself and others. Andrea 💕🐾

Happy Thursday, peeps! The weekend is almost upon us....bringing rain, rain, rain! Well, I guess it will be a good time to stay inside and stamp! I had Hand Penned Petals on my desk from another project and thought it would be good to use with the color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments this week as well as the sketch from FMS: So here we go: This is such a pretty image, I am not sure why I haven't used it more! After stamping and diecutting the image, I mounted it on a Basic White panel diecut with the new Radiating Stitches die that was sponged with some Balmy Blue ink. A wee bit of Fresh Freesia DSP formed a mat, and I did some paper piecing of various strips of Balmy Blue DSP to create the horizontal piece. The sentiment is from Happiness Abounds. I have another friend getting knee surgery today and I may send this to her as an encouragement card! Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed! Hi Stampers, Today’s post will be dedicated to a type of die I don’t use often. I call them the INTRICATE DETAIL dies. I have no clue what they are officially called, but to me intricate detail describes them perfectly. The type of die I am talking about is like this one from the PENNED FLOWERS DIES: It is very pretty, and when I use it to die cut the image from cardstock, I like the result, but rarely do I actually do something with the die cut. They tend to be difficult to adhere (there are solutions for this problem), and I sometimes just am at a loss when it comes to incorporating them in a card design. So, today I decided it is time for me to overcome these challenges. I am sharing my results and a few tips. First let’s take a look at the entire set of the PENNED FLOWERS DIES and the coordinating stamp set, HANDED- PENNED PETALS. These items are featured as a bundle and as part of a suite in the STAMPIN’ UP! 2021-2022 ANNUAL CATALOG which goes live one week from today (4 May 2021). PENNED FLOWERS DIES & HAND-PENNED PETALS (HAND-PENNED PETALS BUNDLE) Here are the items I used from this bundle to create today’s cards. (The floral bouquet stamp image, the outline die, and the intricate detail die.) Here are the cards. For this card I used the outline die and the intricate detail die to create pieces for the card’s focal point. SUPPLIES: Card Base - Basic White cardstock 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” DSP - HAND-PENNED DSP (Blushing Bride) Other Cardstock - Blushing Bride and Basic White Ink - Versa Mark and White Embossing Powder Other Dies - Layering Circle Dies and Stitched So Sweetly Dies Adhesives - Dimensionals and Multi-purpose Glue * The Happy Birthday greeting is from the PANSY PATCH stamp set. Use the Versa Mark to stamp the greeting on Blushing Bride cardstock. Sprinkle the white I die cut the intricate detail image from Basic White cardstock, and used the multipurpose glue to adhere it to the Blushing Bride piece I cut with the outline die. When using multipurpose glue to adhere the intricate detail dies I look for the largest spaces on the die cut and apply the glue in those areas in a very thin line. To avoid too much using too much glue, I squeeze a bit of glue out on my silicone craft sheet or on a scrap of paper. Once the glue has started it is easier to control the amount that comes out as you apply it to the die cut. Die cut a Basic White circle using the largest of the Layering Circle Dies, and from a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock cut a scalloped circle using the largest scalloped die. Adhere the two circle die cuts together. Now adhere the floral piece to the circles. Adhere the DSP to the card base.Use dimensionals to attach the focal point and greeting to the card. This card is similar to the card above, except it does not have the solid die cut image. The intricate detail die is adhered directly to the panel? I used the multipurpose glue for this die cut too. SUPPLIES: Card Base - Garden Green 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” DSP - HAND-PENNED DSP (Garden Green) Other Cardstock - Basic White 5 1/4” x 4”, Garden Green and Basic White for the focal point Ink - Versa Mark and white embossing powder Other Dies - Stitched So Sweetly Adhesives - multipurpose glue, dimensionals *The greeting is from the SWEET STRAWBERRY stamp set. For the next card I stamped the floral image with Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White cardstock, colored the image with Stampin’ Blends. I used the intricate detail die cut in Basic Black as an overlay for the floral image. SUPPLIES: Card Base - Basic White 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” DSP - Pattern Party - black& white check Other Cardstock - Basic Black 5 1/2” x 3” plus a piece for the die cut & Basic White for the floral image Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin’ Blends of your choice for the flower image Other - white crinkled seam binding ribbon -12-14 inches. Adhesives - multipurpose glue and dimensionals * The greeting is from HAND-PENNED PETALS Stamp the greeting with the Tuxedo Black ink toward the lower right corner of the card base. Stamp the floral image on Basic White. Use Stampin’ Blends to color the image. Die cut the image and die cut the intricate detail image. Adhere the Basic Black overlay to the floral image. Adhere the checked DSP to the Basic Black mat. Tie the crinkled seam binding ribbon around the piece on the left side, and tie a bow. Trim the ends. Adhere the piece to the card base along the top of the card. Adhere the floral piece to the card with dimensionals. This card was easy to make. It is just a Basic White intricate detail die cut colored with Stampin’ Blends. SUPPLIES: Card Base - Basic White (thick) 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4” and a piece for the die cut Ink - Soft Succulent and Stampin’ Blends (or Stampin’ Write Markers). Other: In Color Open Weave Ribbon in Soft Succulent - about 18” and Champagne Rhinestones Adhesive: multipurpose glue * The greeting is from the TIMELESS TULIPS stamp set Stamp the greeting toward the bottom center of the card. Adhere the die cut to the card. Place the rhinestones in the centers of the flowers. Tie the ribbon around the card and make a bow. Trim the ends. The card is complete! TIPS FOR ADHERING THE INTRICATE DETAIL DIES 1. Use the method I described above with the multipurpose glue. 2. Multipurpose glue and a sponge. Place the die cut face down on a silicone craft sheet (or a piece of wax paper or parchment paper). Put a dab of the glue on the craft sheet. Dip a wedge of a craft sponge in the glue. Pounce the sponge gentle over the back side of the die cut. * Stampin’ Up! discontinued the Stampin’ Sponges. A sponge dauber can be substituted. After use wash out as much of the glue as possible and let dry. I am not sure how many uses you will get from the sponge dauber. I have used the same dauber twice, and it appears I will get at least one more use from it. 3. Fine Tip Glue Pen - The tip on this glue is made for the intricate dies. The tip can become clogged if the little pin inside the lid is not inserted into the tip of the bottle correctly when putting on the lid. I use it from time to time. 4. Mini Glue Dots - Some of the intricate detail dies have areas where the mini glue dots will fit. Sometimes I cut the glue dots in half, or use the paper piercing tip of the Take Your Pick Tool to roll the glue dot over on itself (sort of fold it in half), and place the glue dot on the die cut. 5. Adhesive Sheets - peel the backing off one side of a section of an adhesive sheet. Place a piece of cardstock the same size as the adhesive sheet over the exposed adhesive. Place the die on top of the cardstock and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (or other die cut machine). Peel the adhesive off the back dice of the die cut, and place it on the mat, card base, etc. There are several other die sets in the new catalog that contain the intricate detail dies. One is the Sunflowers Dies which are found in the current Annual Catalog. The Brilliant Wings Dies, which are available now as a special promotion. Here is another look at the cards I created with the intricate detail die from the PENNED FLOWERS DIES: That is it for today. Thank you for stopping by. Until next time... Stamp Happy!
