Love Yourself Fitness • Health Coach - I just had a victory... my mouth wanted more food, but my stomach let me know that I had enough. So I backed away from the table and respected my body communicating to me what it needed. It's OK to leave the food on the plate. Many of us grew up hearing our parents say, finish everything on your plate, don't waste that good food. I even find myself saying that to my own kids now. However, it's important that we teach ourselves and our children how to listen to their own bodies when it comes to their fullness. It's easy to make a reading they have it and you really not even realize what you're doing. So my challenge to us this week, listen to your body. Slow down when you are eating and be done with your meal when you are about 80% full. You will walk away feeling more energized in the long run. Blessings
