Benkos no solamente se limitó a defender los derechos de sus hermanos en cautiverio, sino que también, estableció una sociedad libre de marginacion, violencia y donde se pudiera gozar de tranquilidad. a pesar que fue asesinado sangrientamente el 16 de marzo de 1630, en las puertas de Cartagena. su gran coraje hizo indestructible su espíritu permaneciendo en la historia de la comunidad cimarrona evocando conciencia de revolución. al sonido de la marimba y las tamboras Benkos Biohó sigue y seguirá siendo el ejemplo de un cimarrón que lucho hasta el ultimo minuto de su vida por hacer valer los derechos de la comunidad afro, y por darles la libertad a toda costa.
