Antique Early 19th Century Original Painted White Dial Vintage Longcase Grandfather Clock Movement with Flowers and Moon c. 1800 Beautiful longcase/grandfather clock movement with white dial and hand painted floral spandrels found at a local upstate New York estate sale. Features applied engraved chapter ring, arabic hour and quarter after the hour minute numerals, and moon dial with a beautiful hand painted sailboat. Hand painted floral embellishments on spandrel along with date calendar. This movement is circa 1800 - 1820 and appears to be 100% original. The entire face and dial of the movement measures approximately 18 1/2” tall x 13” wide, and the depth of the wood base measures 7” deep. The square dial itself measures about 13” x 13”. Condition: No cleaning was done to the dial or movement, so may need a light cleaning. Besides some light paint aging and a couple small chips on the white dial paint, the movement is is excellent condition. Movement was working prior to removal from original cabinet. I was told it kept good time but am unable to verify this. Please see photos for a full visual description of condition. Thanks for looking at my estate sale finds!
