Having sold our last home furnished and decorated, I mentioned on Instagram stories I am looking to restock my home decor staples. The items I move from room to room throughout the year that create the backdrop for my seasonal decorating. While most of these aren’t too pricy, these are things I would happily invest in because they bring me so much joy throughout the year. In case you are trying to build up some year round home decor you love, I thought I would share some of my recommendations. Below each home decor staple I have linked a few of my favorite recommendations! Trays – For holdings items on a coffee table, kitchen counter, console table or bathroom counter layering decor or containing soap dispensers and other items to a tray makes them look super chic. Bowls – I love to add decor beads, fruit, and filler like shells or acorns (depending on the season) to pretty bowls on side tables and counters. These natural flaws in the wood are what make each piece unique with a character of its own. The size posted will vary from sign to sign slightly due to the nature of working with wood and sanding. ALL of my signs are made using NEW Clean Top Grade Knotty White Pine that was cut right here in the USA. All wood is ¾ night thick. My Pallet Signs are all made by me, using fresh clean pine, never dirty used wood. Wood screws & glue hold my pallets together. Each sign is hand sanded, painted and distressed by me, using many coats of paint to achieve that worn old look. My painting, aging technique & lettering is all Hand done. Small imperfections are part of the hand stenciling process, so you may see a slight imperfection on my signs here & there. There is a notch on the back for easy hanging.
